Thanks for a great review Shawn! I was really close to pulling the trigger on this bag but have decieded to wait after hearing your thoughts on it. Lets hope they make a V2 soon, although after 4-5 years, hopes are a little dwindling :/

Thank you for the review. I don't usually find reviews that are this balanced, even if I don't prioritize the same needs as you, it helps. I don't mind not have the quick access in order to get a space for my tripod and another for my light stand, but the awkwardness of the clips for the top compartment could be an issue that other people are not discussing. Thanks so much for this review Shawn, it’s the first one that I’ve seen for this bag on KZbin! This looks like a really solid bag in theory, but I think that all of the points you’ve made regarding its downfalls are valid. I guess the search for the perfect camera backpack continues :’(

imma jumpin im glad you enjoyed it! Yes I really wanted to love this bag but it had fundamental flaws that I could not ignore :) no bag is perfect but we can try to find ones that suits us

I have to agree! I've been eyeing this bag but the flaws Shawn pointed out made me think and I'll hold out in waiting for a V2 with updated features. If they fix the flaws Shawn pointed out and make it longer, I'm go for it.

Come on, you can just take the raincover and put it in the front pouch, you don't have to have it where it was when shipped.

The intension of the raincover pouch should have been designed differently.

just got mine in! Not really see the issue here about the raincoat location? You can decided for yourself where to put it, didn't you know? You can put it into the front or even on the outside because it has a velcro fixing strap.

Well obviously you can put it where ever you want. The main focus of that comment is the design and original intent. Having the original intended location of the rain cover inside the bag is just stupid. Most bags have an independent external compartment for the rain cover.

Hey Shawn! Thanks for the review. Do you have any info on the maximum laptop size you can fit? They say 15 inch but my laptop is 15.5- not sure if there's a half inch of wiggle room.
