Scott is a great Guitar player fer sure. I love the way he recounts his stories.. What an honest and eloquent guy in his own way., Brian Downey the same. Actually all great guys.

Scott is a REALLY decent guy, and very generous in his treatment of his bandmates. How often do you hear a guitar player, let alone one of his stature, praise another player the way Scott praised Robbo in this interview?

Amen, Bad Reputation in my mind is the Scott Gorham solo album of the 70s. Mr. Melody... each solo tells a story.

Gorham is just a good human being. Don’t get any sense of a mean bone in his body. Just generous and full of seeing the good in things

They found their guitar harmony sound by accident, when accidentally two lead tracks on tape were played back at the same time, accidentally playing harmony. The rest is history.

I'm confident that Scott was taking something during this time. He seems really chillaxed in this, and other, interviews during this era. I have wondered if Scott ever started taking painkillers after his heroin days came to an end? I read an old interview with him and he was talking about taking painkillers when he was a teenager and apparently he really struggled with it.. the depression and everything... So I wouldn't be surprised if he was taking painkillers here. I know for a fact that once a person has a problem with opioids, it's difficult if not impossible to completely forget about it. The brain simply misses that feeling and wants it again

It's funny how every big band has a member who is bitter and whiny, a member who gets rewards but doesn't take overall responsibility. You find these people in Stones, ABBA, Kiss, Metallica, WASP etc etc. Doesn't matter wich genre. Success, money and credibility doesn't seem to matter. There's always room for bitterness. Come on, Lynnot was the leader, the catalyst, the visionary. He could write songs with just about anyone. Of course he got the credits on Lizzy albums. Phil was a great songwriter.

We will never know just how much of what Brian Robertson said was true or bullshit. He could just be sore that Phil Lynott received so much acclaim. I'm not saying that's the truth, but everyone has their own different version of the same story.
@ninarekhviashvili68566 жыл бұрын
where was robertson when phil was writing the songs? he was not even a member of lizzy so he should really stop bitching about it.
@Cinemagoer_642 жыл бұрын
Interesting I never gathered that from Robbo. I think he really loved Phil. But it’s just Robbo. Or at least that’s my impression.
