I have surfed that whole stretch of coast line many many times, a good mate lived at Crescent Head so north and south of there was endless days in the water. It was good to see it again, thanks mate.

Great video Phil, enjoying all you work. Cut my teeth riding Hat Head and Hungry beaches and dunes in the 70's and 80's. Family had a house in Hat for 50 years. Brought back some great memories. Hungry was a great hidden surf beach until everyone bought 4x4's and travelled up from Crescent. Still a great part of the NSW coast, haven't changed much over the years. Cheers

Sometimes adventure is just around the next headland from where you live, but yeah, I'd rather go longer range camping, tap out from life's pressures for longer. So that is the plan this weekend 😊👍

Nice to see & I suppose it's getting warm in the down under b/c I'm feeling the coolness of fall here. Do you still work or just retired & it's none of my business but I love the energy/enthusiasm as you just HiT the road. Having a full time gig would make it more difficult but I see you experiencing freedom & worry that this generation or the next might not have what we've got now. I hope/pray that I'm wrong but if it turns out to be true, what a wonderful account we've got in the way of your videos? Thanks for all of that... peace & GB ALL

Weather here is 20ish degrees and on off light showers so pick your days... I'm 56, retired, but see plenty of young ppl around on boats, surfing, playing golf etc so they seem to have more free time than I did. Perhaps less ppl having kids, 4 day weeks or "working from home"... Where in the world are you?
@MidCoastAdventures2 ай бұрын
G'day mate. I wish I was retired! Semi retired at the moment. Noticed few kids around here are right into fishing and outdoors stuff, so they're at lest doing fun outdoor stuff in my part of Australia 😎👍
@diggy-d8w2 ай бұрын
I liked working when I was able but seeing the garage & what looks to be a few hobbies, I thought you might be retired but it's honorable to work. You are a much busier man that I had originally thought but it's all good, I like some of the scenes you show of a small bay early or late so we can see dusk in all of it's beauty. It's a sight that can heal..... thanks & peace

In the fabled lore of the Nation of Texas..... lol, when I was younger, Australia was the one place that I would have loved to go & quite possibly live there. It was the early 90's when I really gave it a serious look-see but circumstances kept me in the US. All those things that changed since you were in school happened the same way here as well. Riding in the way you do brings freedom to my forethought ~ thanks for that

Great tips on sand riding there , I think I would have made the mistake of getting in those ruts. Breathtaking scenery and videography . Do you find the DRZ is better than the old rally in sand ? Cheers
@MidCoastAdventures2 ай бұрын
Thanks mate 👍 Love this region, so many stunning places. Both bikes about the same on sand. DRZ definitely more grunt to plough off a beach, but nearly the same 👍

Another great video Phil. Question: What sort of boots are those you are wearing? I've found my bike boots useless for riding and this sort of bush walking.
@MidCoastAdventures2 ай бұрын
Hi Doug, just been using high sided work boots - Oliver's. Very comfortable and provides decent protection I guess. I can't do MX boots, just not for me, or my style of riding / exploring 👍

Do you need a permit to ride on the beaches, What psi are you running for sand? Greetings from Forster....
@MidCoastAdventures2 ай бұрын
Hi mate, yeah, need a beach permit for the region you're planning to ride. Up here the one I have only covers a few local beaches. Hastings Shire and down where you are Forster may have a longer list of beaches you can ride on? Something to look into. As for PSI, I just leave mine at 25 psi all the time. Seems to work for me. Cheers mate 👍
@3goldfinger2 ай бұрын
@@MidCoastAdventuresHow much is the permit and how long does it last.
@Willberight2moro2 ай бұрын
@3goldfinger I only see 4wd so not sure if motorbikes are the same. It's $105 per annum or $50 for pensioners looking at Services NSW..
