First saw them 1977 in London, for some reason people don't like to admit it , but they simply couldn't be touched. The lineup in this video were amazing. They set the bar.. Followed them ever since .Like you, I saw them in Milton Keynes , sadly some of the band have now left us but still a must see!

I have been listening to this song since I was in elementary school in Trinidad and still it is my favorite song…! Those who knows the story..the line..entertainment for you but martyrdom for me embodies the rebellious spirit of the West Indian! I may not live there anymore but I am bound to the islands!

Historical Song Trivia; The story behind 96 Degrees is one of Jamaican History, the most brutal persecution, slavery, the long fight for freedom, the Reggae/Struggle and the lynching Martyrdom of Paul Bogel ( sp? ). All slaves were gathered up and forced to watch his hanging; thus the lyrics " ... .but the Truth Is I'll never die" ( just physically, but remembered & Martyred forever ). No day was hotter. Let's Praise Jah even literally no truer words; as there's no such thing as "death"!
