he's among the world's top guitarist who has been very underrated, I would like him to do a solo album featuring the guitar. with a bit of blues, jazz, and classical I think such an album would showcase his talent even more.

It's not about where you are born, it's about what's in your heart. Third World has always been steeped in the music of the heart.

Give thanks, Brother King Cat Johnny Tiger Coore. You have been one of my greatest inspirations, friends and mentors. Giving thanks for your support and guidance. "There's A Reward" was the best way for us to tribute Joe Higgs, blessings always! If there is Reggae Cello, there can be Reggae Oboe. Love you, your Oboelady

One Love to Cat from a Trini Rasta who is blessed to have shook his hand when Third World played the Spektakula Forum Frederick Street , Port of Spain Trinidad, in the 80's. A real down to earth bunch of guys. Rastafari bless.

makes sense to me. the brother studied classical music. cuz wen him play them stringed istruments solo. man it b so soulful & heart touching. that i say about 3rd world group. they're reggae is DEFINITELY classy & heartical very rootsy with (some songs) a tinge or hint of r & b if not outright r & b. just a very classy group. they made a ballad song called "gotta get along". straight r & b & very touching. can play it over & over. short song, i wish they made it much longer. & wen they play roots, its REALLY ROOT-TICAL . well rounded group.

You are given whatever story of trust and honesty you will accept, on the surface. It’s always run by violent crime from underneath and the moral bubbles they send up are poisoned air you need to breathe.

intersting too, the title rebel from uptown cuz their sound has the uptown sound infused n it. little popish rockish & r &b. not saying all the songs only some. cause the brother's can PLAY some roots music man !! check satta amassagana ! man growing up in America me never knew for long time that the song " now that we found love. what r we gonna do" never knew it was Jamaican's playing it until i finally saw the video to it 1 day. prime example of their cross over "uptown" sound. not as rootsy & tribal &exotic as say...lee perry. who's music i love too

Cat is the baby, Michael the swimmer and Ivan the pretty one. I was a member of the Marlin swim club (circa 1967) as was Michael. We were both breast-strokers. The last time that I saw Michael was at a fete, at the Student Union. I remember Ivan well; Cat not so much. Where is Paula Weller?
