Lucille La Verne, who voiced the Queen in the film, was asked to do an old hag voice for these later scenes, with the directors feeling her natural voice was too smooth. One of the most sadistic, terrifying Disney villains ever. You have to be a real monster to taunt a dead skeleton about his\her death. That poor guy (or girl, who knows) died trying to get a water jug who was *just about a little inch beyond reach.* So close, yet so far. And the Evil Queen tosses the now dried up jug to the skeleton, dismembering him\her and taunting him\her with sadistic glee. Who knows who that skeleton was. It could be the Queen's previous rival, or the Huntsman who rightfully betrayed her. And knowing how much of a sadistic monster she was even before becoming a horrid hag, *the jug could've been as well as empty all along.* In that case, the poor guy\girl died in a horrible place, and would have lived long enough to know that it was empty all the time and that it was all false hope. Talk about a monster. That's how you make dark humor in kids movies work, ladies and gentlemen.

“Kinda mean” is a drastic underestimate. She literally imprisoned someone and had him dehydrated to death, and judging by the position of the skeleton, even going so far as to place a jug of empty water in a position that he couldn’t reach just to taunt him, and then years after his horrific deaths she kicks the empty jug at him sarcastically asking “Thirst?! Have a drink!” and laughing like a maniacal psychopath.

I actually always found her true form as the evil queen much scarier than her disguise, and in large part because of what you said. As the queen, she NEVER smiled, always looked like she was on the verge of exploding in anger, and just looked slightly... off. At least in her hag disguise, she had humor.

I don’t know if anyone saw this during the whole dungeon sequence, but throughout the whole sequence, there are dozens of skeletons littered around the dungeon, some hanged by the neck, some in coffins, plus there are loads of skulls around, and finally before the witch stops by the skeleton reaching for the pitcher, next to the skulls and even a ribcage, there’s an executioner’s block that’s still stained in blood! It’s always the little things that are the most nightmare fuel, and it tells you that the Queen is a blinking serial killer. 😨

I just noticed something. This poor person who turned into a skeleton was dying of thirst. And not only that. What she did was to put the pot BUT its only a mere few centimeters away from the person's maximum reach. Also if the person was by some miracle being able to reach the pot, turns out there was NO Water to begin with. So this person died while desperately trying to reach the pot hoping that it actually contains the water that he/she desperately needs located only a mere centimeters away from them. Also the person was completely naked so there is no way to extend their reach. Thats some sadistic stuff... wow

I think the skeleton the Queen mocks is the Prince himself because it is implied Snow White died and the Prince taking her to his castle was actually them reunited in the afterlife especially as the castle is surrounded by peach skies and clouds symbolising heaven.
