I stopped playing Magic about ten years ago. I didn't even use sleeves. Now, I play bot matches on MTG, and *occasionally* play against humans. My constructed decks are worse than pre-cons. And yet I am constantly watching your videos. You're just an entertaining communicator.

​@@nickbopp4819 i've been playing forever, was a former tournament player and I agree. I love playing weird themes and jank but Arena is a no fun allowed zone. Decks are so sweaty at every level of ranked and even the "casual" formats like brawl or unranked.

@@nickbopp4819 There is! Starter deck duel is exactly this, there's 10 decks, one for each colour combo. A couple of the decks *are* better than the others in my experience but it's still pretty fun as something to do when I'm sick of playing my only real constructed deck and don't have the gold for limited.

I put together a rakdos artifact deck in draft and that thing easily got to +5 or higher. I can't even imagine how hard it would hit in a format with the artifact lands. Had 1 game where I already had a flyer out, put down 2 rams and equipped them to the flyer, then did 14 damage in 1 turn out of nowhere

Landscapes are wild as common and also such a great, budget friendly addition to Commander. Adds colorless mana for when it matters (as it nowadays often does on many cards, e.g. Null Elemental Blast), fetches whichever of the three basic land types is needed, gives a shuffle effect, thins the deck and draws a card.

@@heath1948 How so? People are opening massive amounts of mh3, so the availability of a common along with the three color requirement will prob keep the price well at bay for a long time. Certainly those too can rise a bit at some point if Wizards are foolish enough not to reprint them at all.

My number one most wanted card was Basking Broodscale (it was card 1, pack 1 in my prerelease so I was very happy with that) and the landscapes were a close 2nd behind that. They're no untapped dual lands, but they provide a great level of consistency. They will be a great addition to a whole bunch of decks.

Also see the pauper triomes being good in EDH and in general ->Any basic you need for tri decks or 3/4 or 3/5 of the lands you need ->If you draw it the turn of chances are you need the fast mana a evolving wilds/terramorphic wont give. ->Helps thin your deck like the fetch lands ->Can play it and keep the one mana open for an instant spell then crack it at the end of turn for the land untapped. It's prob one of the strongest commons also I think he forgot about Writhing Crysalis a GR2 that simply casting it refunds the 2 by giving you two eldrazi tokens even if countered. Then becomes a 4/5 reach if you sac the tokens, and if you play more it just keeps getting bigger.

My problem with Deem Inferior is that it doesn't suit Draw-Go decks due to being Sorcery-speed. Those decks want mana available on their opponent's turn.

The problem is that EVERY set some new card break affinity and warp the format. There are even more cards in MH3 that will break the deck, and the lands are the real issue that never gets dealt with.
