Once the image has been scaled to the doodle grid you could in theory project it a section at a time using the doodle grid as a reference for locating and scaling the image to the new location.

I also solved a projector size issue in a TV helmet/costume I built, I used a mirror to double the throw distance of the light, doubling the image size. You might need a big mirror, but worth the saved effort!

@@coreyryan27 this is exactly how we do it in pro AV for events. In this situation he only needed a few extra feet, so a 4-5' mirror probably would've done the trick. Painting with brushes definitely is a lot slower than spray cans but it allows for so much more details. The pixelation would have been much more difficult if you were only using spray paint. The next time you can't spray anything you might want to put down the rough base colors where there belong with a paint roller. You would likely have to redraw the design but it would save a lot of time not having to put so many additional coats by brush.

@fredericapanon207 Жыл бұрын
@lil_flori5458, you absolutely do not need college for art. Self-study and lots of practice will work very well. Online Places such as SkillShare or Domestika will work just as well. Your local art supply stores will likely have workshops with practicing artists. Skillshare will also have courses about the business side of art -- which you will NOT get in college. Local artists' group will often have regular life drawing sessions that you can join for a relatively low fee that goes toward the room rental and the model's fee. And check out the art history and art how-to books in your local libraries. An often neglected (these days) but hugely useful resource.

Great work as always. I have an idea that may help you with your stencil application in the future when you aren't feeling the doodle grid or your projector isn't working the way you want/can't work for tight areas. Take you concept art, create just an outline then add a grid section over it, blow up the proportions to be in scale with your wall, then print off the entire project or take it to a commercial printing place and have a large transfer sticker (the way tattoo artists do stencils) and apply it in sections, each sheet gets a letter and number to be easily applied and saves you a ton of time. Your team can help you lay down the stencil while you paint. The time to create the stencil and the cost to make it all get added to your clients total, it may end up costing extra in material cost/prep time but will probably cut down a huge chunk of wasted time creating doodles and fighting with projectors.

I used to make my bigger murals with a traditional grid, but also with projection. You could also divide your image into the parts that the beamer can project. So if you put the projector with its back to the wall and the beam goes into a mirror which is pointing at the wall, you can double the length of the beam wich will result in a larger image while not needing more distance. There will be some shadow of the projector in the way, but depending on the angle (which you can counteract with the built-in tilt feature of most projectors), this works.

Continue inspiring us and keep doing great stuffs. Tbh, this whole video rh made a huge impact on me. Since then up til now, drawing is always my passion. I was a 7yo lil boy when I learned drawing and 'matic, I fell inlove with it. Even being a 7yo kid, unlike other kids, I know for myself and already established a thaught in my mind that I wanted a more 3d drawings and not just those basic sticks and twigs. As my passion and age grew, on a self-thaught process and some references, I practiced and draw a lot til the day comes when I can proudly say that this is my talent! Im 24 now. Growing up, things gets rough. Unfortunately for me, struggles, burdens, responsibilities, reality and shits did fucked everything up! Dude, I almost lost it. Theres not enough support for me to pursue it but, because of you and the others like kiptoe, doke, smoe, etc... you kickstart the love and passion in me to not stop this talent of mine. At this point, I really want to pursue and develop my skill more. I know I still got it, but I honestly, if given a chance, I really need an advice or some tips. Thank you a lot 10Hun for motivating me again! I still got and I wont stop!

Oh!, I just realized this process is like old masters, such as Michelangelo. The masters worked with apprentices for the large pieces. And the master would add the fine details and nuance. Given the scale of the work, you do need to labor it out. Granted the laborers are not to be scoffed at for big art pieces. But this reminded me of some art history and knowing that a piece was not 100% made by the man who is most known for it. Just interesting I guess, Everyone did great here.
