I mean anyone who has played football jr high-varsity knows how much one years difference can make in every facet of the game. Understanding of Scheme’s and ability to execute them more efficiently, size, strength, explosiveness, speed, and extra year of experience on the field. I mean dude singed up knowing his team was young, expecting to lose most of the games so not an excuse just pointing out his team is young and can run it with the older boys.
