The Alpine. Really interesting little race car. Would love to see more unusual cars, so much of you tube is modern ultra high performance and it gets a bit boring seeing lots of channels review the same cars.

Even the R8 Gordini is a lot of fun in good hands and for the budget end of the scale the Renaults are amazing considering. The 962 prototype Hands down although the R90C would be interesting I dont know anything about it. The Viper? V10 is attractive and I've driven an early RHD conversion years ago which was an "Experience" bit bang for buck still the Porsche :-)

Having owned (and suffered) a 1999 Viper years back, I agree with the sheer exhilaration and exhaustion of driving one as a daily driver. Showing up at a Dodge dealer for a job interview in a Viper, arguably was the cheekiest thing I’ve done in my car career.

In 1967 Alpine with Michelin tested first slick tires in LeMans, and the driver (maybe Larrousse) really disliked different approach of driving, but it was faster.

Alpine must have been "gutted" that the 1967 race winning 7 litre Ford won the Index of Thermal Efficiency, and a Porsche 907 came 2nd, in that category. Then the 7 litre beasts, including the Chaparral 2F, were banned!
