Nah I definitely got that 1up as well. IIRC it was like slightly less than a 50% chance of actually getting it. I get mental about missing tiny details so I’d restart and restart until the run was perfect (got the shroom). Maybe it’s a ROM or something that has this issue

First of all, they can’t really update these games, they release them and can’t do anything about them, the most they can do is take the game off shelves and put an updated one on shelves, but for the most part, there are never updates, it mostly just slipped the mind of Nintendo i guess lol
