This Incredible 2br with a Roof-Terrace in Murray Hill on 35th st is TOO CHEAP and SHOULDN’T Exist! The views from the roof are incredible and the apartment has recently updated finishes! Its not the largest place in Manhattan with a Roof Deck but for $1000 per person this is going to be someone’s dream come true! Very cool nyc apartment you dont see every day!

Personally I would use the original living room as a dining room and office and add quite a bit more storage I would probably use the Billy bookcases with half grazed door. I would make one of the bedrooms into living room. The second bedroom I would buy an ottoman bed to increase the amount of storage. I have two cats with death wishes so the balcony and the roof deck have little interest for me also I suffer from vertigo. But it's a great apartment for the price it also has loads of windows which is unusual in cheaper apartments.

This apartment is definitely for the young and fit because of: (1) six flights of stairs; (2) a good hike to the subway; and (3) that treacherous ladder to the rooftop deck. Both the kitchen and the bathroom have been recently updated, and the counter space could be augmented by a rolling cabinet. The living room, the balcony and the bedrooms are all small even by NYC standards. Arranging furniture would be easy because there isn't room for much. $1,000 apiece is cheap for Manhattan, but if two people share this, they'd better be really good friends. I'd opt for one of Cash's other offerings for a bit more per person that has a better location, fewer stairs and more space.

Great place! Cash, I'm glad I found your channel. Always interesting to watch and listen to and I'm learning things from your videos. One thing I've learned is a funny difference between Manhattan and Bloomington, Indiana: on the ground floor in Manhattan people are concerned about rats. I live on a second floor in Bloomington with a door that opens directly outside and though I live just off the square I once almost walked into a possum that was outside my door and sometimes I smell skunks in the morning!

I'm surprisingly familiar with this area. I went on 4 consecutive trips to NYC between 2011 and 2014 and stayed at two different hotels (one of which is now defunct). It's amazing how much I recognized and how much was new in the past 6 yrs. The Sticky's, BBB and other places like the Bear Cafe weren't there when I was visiting. There's also a big Starbucks on Park Avenue not too far away from there and a fancy McD's (I recall it had leopard stripes as decor LOL) and several Duane Reade's were in the area too for when you had to buy stuff in a pinch.

It was OK I had no problems with it into my diseases Started getting bad. Post polio And moderate to severe Fibromyalgia Not to mention. from the Nick to the tailbone half my back is kept together by metal. I would hate to have to do 6 flights of stairs with my rollator and a couple of bags of food. The building should put in a little elevator

1) People need to know about personal shopping carts that you can tote your groceries or other purchases with. Maybe it's an 'ethnic neighborhood' thing, but having grown up with one, let me tell you guys it's a godsend. They even make them now to help with stairs! 2) The apartment itself is nice and well located; video intercom is way better than a wine fridge! 3) Stairs! But at least you are healthy!

That "roof access" (perhaps a better term than 'roof deck' considering it requires ladder climbing every time...?) is cool. I would be crossing my fingers that the seals around the 'door' work, every time it rains, and twice when it snows or ices over ... That said, is looks like people are making use of this, so good for them! As for the rest of the apartment, it is really a nice little apartment. Has everything one needs (though keeping those bedroom doors open will be important for lighting). I have me a feeling it used to be a one bedroom and it got divided into two, but in this price-rage, it is not a terrible thing. Definitely workable! Nice review, Cash!

Neighbors pounding on the roof deck can be an issue. I can see why it's cheaper. How's the wifi connection? Kitchen not much to look at. Small bedrooms. Is there a ladder to reach the overhead storage. Small window in bathroom . Some negatives some good things.

Both hands needed for ladder to the roof terrace. You would need to keep a backpack in the apartment just to carry stuff up and down the ladder. Put laundry in a duffle bag and roll it down the stairs. Roof deck would be great for Fourth of July fireworks watching party, but worried about liability of inebriated guests climbing up and down the ladder.

Fun fact: You can actually buy a cutting board that your can keep on your stove top for extra work space and take off when you need to use the burners. Gorgeous place but there would be too many buts for me: that scary entrance to the roof deck, the 6 flights up, the cramped kitchen. I'm not too young and nimble!

“There’s a Bed, Bath, and Beyond...but does anybody care?” 😂 That roof top deck!!! But can you make it back down that ladder after a couple of scotches?

Good apartment with 2 outdoor spaces. Small rooms but good layout. Lots of stairs but view is good. Like the dishwasher. Oh yea Cash.. I care about Bed bath and beyond. Have tons of coupons. Good part of the city as well. Prefer this to the lower East side. Shopping looks good too.. When I don't bring my car I take out the granny cart. LOL

Pros and cons. On the bright side, who needs a gym membership when you go up and down 6 flights of steps every day? It's not the biggest apartment, but the roof deck and low price makes it in this time of constant lockdowns! Great neighborhood. I luv how you show the map at the beginning so we know what it is around.

I live few blocks away from this place and love this area. If it comes with gas stove I would take this apartment since I am paying the same price for 1 bedroom.

What an amazing apartment/deal but 6 STORIES would get old pretty fast! My daughter lives on the 5th floor in nyc and I can’t imaging doing that everyday especially carrying groceries. P.S. congrats on your 50k subscribers! You are so great at this! Love your channel AND love your glasses! 🥳

Wow, another LLL (location location location) to make up for other features some may not like but at this price with rooms, pretty new interior albeit somewhat compact but that's Manhattan. Every square foot is another $XX. I would consider this apartment if moving so I can walk up and down the stairs to lose my Covid19 belly that showed up this year!

Incredible place . Location location location ❤️. Great roof deck w views! Oh, to be 20 years younger and able to climb 4 flights of stair to access an apartment. My 4 flight walk up in the 90’s in SF nearly killed me 😂. Great video, great place . Exceptional price ! Nicely finished crown and paint . Well done remodel on the bathroom

I can do that rickety ladder stairs with a martini in each hand LOL. That is not bragging. That just goes to show I’ve climbed my attic stairs enough times to fix the temperamental WH. Don’t be scared. Just do the stairs a couple of time sober and you’ll nail it.

Looked like there was another door entry to the roof. If it could be opened with an apartment or other key it would make the roof more usable. The roof itself isn’t bad. It has a light floor - not black asphalt which just radiates heat. I assume there must be a way to make the stairs up to the roof easier to use. Attic stairs aren’t terribly inviting. The little balcony isn’t really usable but you could open up the doors and put some flowers or plants out there which would be nice. If you have a small apartment it’s good to have a nice outside visual when inside and it adds light. Six flights of stairs with more than a to go bag could get old if you like to cook. The visual intercom is a plus for hat front door so if someone rings your bell by mistake it won’t take 12 flights to find out. The kitchen looks decent actually. The only downside appears to be the sink which is more of a bar sink than a true kitchen one. All in all - some minuses and some pluses. The ll will probably try to get the rent back up by fall. I would try to get the apt for $1800 with an 18 month lease and a rent increase limit for 2 years. If the landlord wants some stable apts for a few years this would be a win/win proposition. You might add an injury waiver to cancel out so if you get hurt, sick you can get away from the 6 flights of stairs. Even the youngest, healthiest of us can break a leg or twist an ankle. Add a stuffy and hot stairwell year round and this apt could be a dealbreaker.

You should read the rent city review of all of the apartments while you tour them. If they’re good of course...

Just keep in mind.. if you fall down the ladder and break a leg, ankle or foot.. it'll be prettyyyy difficult getting up those already difficult six flights of stairs lol jk.

It’s ok for a single person. Use one bedroom for office, one bedroom for storage; and make the living room your bedroom. I don’t see the kitchen working for 2 roommates. Ok, yeah. Lots of plants on the balcony to add charm!
