3:30 A friend of mine heard his wife singing to their baby for 5 minutes on the monitor. Then 2 seconds after the singing stopped his wife walked in with an arm load of groceries. She hadn't been home when he heard the singing! He ran into the room and the baby was sleeping peacefully, no one was in the room who shouldn't be there. A couple of days later he heard a man and woman talking quietly. His wife was home this time and when they checked, no one was in the house except the. It turned out their neighbor had the same brand monitor and they were both on the same frequency! Explainable, but creepy AF until the realized what was going on.

I've stayed like a dozen of times at Cape House Hotel in Bangkok - it's a rather fancy place, and they had really nice teddy bears in the rooms that was meant to be be taken home by the guests as a free souvenir. I ended up donating them all to some day cares.

Phones are a land mine of detectability. I remember seeing my phone through NVG's once and the proximity sensor was constantly flashing. Some computer mouse's appear like this as well. Edit:. By proximity sensor I'm talking about the one my phone had to turn off screen when near my face. Realized I wasn't too clear on it.

Calli’s in her early ‘30s. That’s not old enough for the original release, but they were popular for several years (we’re the same age, and I definitely remember seeing them in the early ‘90s) and have been in production off and on for most of the time since they were introduced. The current one uses flash memory and can be synched with a smart phone to download more stories.

You know that the thing in your phone is a GPS *receiver*, right? GPS “devices” don’t transmit anything GPS-related. The transmitters are satellites in orbit. The transmissions from your phone are related to cell traffic or WiFi.

The manufacturer probably meant location tracking devices and English wasn't there primary language. Those looking for more detail on GPS it works by aquiring different GPS satellites, it takes multiple satellites to get accurate data because it essentially takes the distance from all acquired GPS satellites to narrow down it's location. Another thing GPS satellites do is transmit time.

True GPS is passive, but most phones have a high precision mode where they triangulate from nearby cell towers. I'm not sure if that transmits anything.

Seemed to happen a lot with flip phones from the mid 2000's, if there was a speaker within 10 feet you'd hear everything it was doing lol. It actually got frustrating trying to set up a home recording studio for a band one time. The smart phone I have now doesn't do it as badly, but if I set it directly on top of the amp you can hear it chirp sometimes.

The gps locator has been being used in parking lots/trailheads in Oregon. They walk around cars & if they get a reading they know electronics are inside. Break in only those cars. Advised to completely shut off devices & put sleeves or foil over. The old days of hiding under seat are over.
