Probabily the dump switch or the level proximity sensor didn't work, so the car went to the basament. This may also happen on branded elevators.

Elevators from Italy L'Ascensore Del Bo si è frenato l'emergenza e sbatte la porta proprio la caduta. O mio dio questo ascensore è guasto poi rimasto l'ascensore rotta però ha modernizzato Del Bo in 2010.. ;(((;((

Typical generic quality... 2013 KMZ elevators in my apartment building are doing fine expect everytime passing the 8th floor on small elevator while more than 2 people in it makes a rough noise. Past years had interlock issues, door problems and stopped working.
