I want this. I want to hear long term results and with the thicker diff fluid.
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the next video I put up I will have had several packs through it and will definitely have a good idea if it's longer term durability. It's already taking some hard hits that would have broken other cars though and just shaken them off though.

NOOOO, not the truck for me lol, I just bought another Tekno MT 410, I have been running Rocket Brushless motors for 3 years now and there great value for your money, I will also taking a chance on the SurpassHobby Supersonic ESC Rocket combo and give there Servos a try .
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
Mt410 is an awesome truck. I'm going to order one of those new supersonic units as well. I hadn't seen them before you mentioned it. Looks like they made some updates. Hopefully the ESCs aren't quite the fire hazard that the old ones were

Did u ever figure anything out about the max 8 and the hesitation. I had that on mine and then it burnt up. I loved the power when it was there though.

No. It's something I need to research further I just have been so busy with other things that I haven't had chance to get into it.

You know what i like the look of the clear body, or maybe hit it with smoke tint. Anyways great video😉👍🏽💯

Yeah the clear body is mostly going to be for show. I've got a couple other bodies from previous models that I'll use for bashing. I definitely like it though :-)

So far I like the g2 it's little under power bc I put in a heavy exb Mojave..it be perfect for shorcourse racing ..try messing with the settings it has turbo and throttle delay
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I need to do some work with it. I get the feeling it's got something to do with my radio link receiver. I've had some weird issues with them in the past. I'll get it figured out :-) I know if it was a widespread issue I would have heard plenty about it by now.
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
@@philthyco1 yeah the max 8 will be a bit undersized for the Mojave but it's no worse than what Horizon puts in there stock on the RTR one. With the right gearing and proper cooling you'll be fine

Wow I'm really surprised at the end that you had run a few packs through as it looked brand new, could you maybe do a cleaning video some time? Just an idea for a video down the road. Oh also just curious how often do you clean them? Not every run I'm guessing? I mean in terms of washing
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
I don't wash my trucks every time but I do blow them off with compressed air after every single run. This really helps keep them clean. I did wash this car before recording the end of the video though. I usually do to try and keep dirt off of my workbench. I'll be happy to do a video but it's pretty simple. I just wash it off with a hose and then blow it off with compressed air and put in front of a fan to finish drying.

Looks like you need some better tires with that power system lol
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's necessarily the tires. The center differential fluid is extremely thin and it basically blows all the power to the front wheels. Makes a thing pretty hard to control. Once I get the center differential fluid upgraded I'll definitely have a better idea of how the tires are. Thanks for commenting and if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated :-)
@rcmadlabz24922 жыл бұрын
Yeah….you have a lot more bench time needed for this rig. Not bad for a first rip though. *The shocks definitely need tuning, as do the differentials…”Cue the pogo stick sound effect”. 🤓
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
A bit yeah. Center diff is the first thing. Any tips on the shocks tuning? Im not tag great at it. They feel nice and plush on the bench.
@rcmadlabz24922 жыл бұрын
@@DoRC ….watch your video in slow-mo. You can see that the shocks don’t have enough “pack” when they are absorbing bumps. *If you don’t know what the factory weight/CST oil is that’s in them now, you’ll have to pick a grade/cst oil and tune by trial and error. ~You’re going to want to slow them shocks down some. **Slow-mo is your friend. The center differential is a “No brainer”(front tires unloading)…you’ll want to run atleast 1million. My advice for the front diff…300k and rear diff…150k.
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
@@rcmadlabz2492 thanks! Yeah diff tuning I have down. Shocks have always been a dark art for me though. I usually just ignore them:)
@rcmadlabz24922 жыл бұрын
@@DoRC You could always reach out to “Marc” from Many’s rc garage 68….ask him what he recommends for shock set up. (Marc tinkers and tunes a lot of the hoboa models)
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
I'll do that. I'm not sure he'll have had experience with this one yet since it just came out but I'll check it out. Intuitively it seems like it needs thicker shock oil but it already feels pretty heavily damped
@romper4444 Жыл бұрын
Are you purposely not landing on your wheels to test its durability?
@DoRC Жыл бұрын
Yes. I try to push these vehicles harder than they would normally be pushed when I'm just doing general bashing in order to show any weaknesses as quickly as possible. I also tend to show the crashes more in the videos than I do smooth landings. What you see in the videos is usually about a 10th of the actual footage I've recorded. Thanks for watching and if you enjoy the videos a sub is appreciated :-)
@luisnegron1625 Жыл бұрын
How long you been driving my daughter is 6 and she drives better than you
@DoRC Жыл бұрын
Lol. About 20 years of bashing just about every day. Keep in mind that in these videos I usually show the crashes more than the good landings and I intentionally crash as much as possible because I am durability testing these trucks. Plus it's my first time ever driving it and I'm driving and filming at the same time so that's going against me. Then again maybe she's just a really good driver!
@tonytravers5122Ай бұрын
He’s testing the durability of the truck to let us viewers know its weaknesses and limitations…..such a silly comment to make it’s pretty obvious if you have followed this channel you can even tell he’s testing it 🙄
@DoRCАй бұрын
I get this kind of comment surprisingly often. I guess I can understand though as if you Don't have a KZbin channel where you test products it can definitely seem like I'm just driving poorly all the time. I have altered my editing a bit since this video came out to show more good landings which has helped :-)
