Love these videos with your dad. Mine was a process engineer & I loved working with him. He got me my 1st job doing data entry at a sewage plant, and growing up with him I knew how to read process diagrams, so when time came to tag the pumps & valves & such for the maintenance schedules I was data entering I got the job of crawling the site to physically tag all the parts. This was back in the 80's. So I love the you & dad videos. Brings back good memories. Speaking of memories, it was the scarecrow that wanted a brain, Nick Chopper wanted a heart. Just sayin'... One of my favorite bikes was my old 2002 VROD I bought in 2008 with less than 3k miles. I loved that bike and rode it cross country twice, putting 50k miles on it. It was going to need approximately $3500 worth of work to keep it going (steering head rebuild, front end rebuild, clutch, tires, brakes, oil change, etc.) and I couldn't justify spending that much when it was only worth about $5k. Ended up trading it in and Harley gave me $4200 for it which I put towards a new Fat Bob. I still miss it.

I've loved the V-Rod every since it first came out, the first one I saw was at a pool haul that I used to go to and it was being raffled off and I absolutely fell in love with it. I just stood there and stared at it for hours, it was and still is an absolutely beautiful bike (and the old-school Harley guys hated it which made me like it even more, at least at the time they did). If ever there was one that I'd trust buying, it's this one. Nice job getting this one sorted out JR and JR Senior.

I've wanted a V-Rod for years, finally got to test one at the Harley Factory the year they were discontinued. Was a top trim Muscle model. The power felt great, liked the sound, was very comfortable (mid controls like I prefer) but it just didn't handle as well as I'd prefer. Damn shame I haven't been able to get any Buell owners to sell me one when they are up for sale. Maybe in a few years after I've been working my new job and have some money saved up after being unemployed a couple months.
