12:38-12:52 I highly disagree with this statement. Most people actually still hate the front end look of the G80/82 M3/4. I’m frequently conversing with owners in the g80/82 M3/4 Facebook group, and yes, many people are starting to like the car. But it’s not because of the performance of the car. In fact, almost everyone doesn’t have a gripe, and never did, regarding its performance. The gripe was due to its front end look. Well, lots of people are starting to like the look ONLY after thousands of dollars were spent on modifying the front end. Yeah, it looks better with a different grill look, but still, the car looks awkward. It only looks “better” and that’s why people are getting more on board with it. But even owners themselves admit often that they think it looks horrible in stock form, and that alone shows how bad the design is and how unliked it is as well. A good looking car shouldn’t need to be immediately modified for people to like it “a little more.”

The conversation about modification while under warranty is inline with my thinking 🤔 i will not do anything until my car is out of warranty but while i wait the modification list is active. Its good to see your car with the few modification putting out those numbers , because i wouldn't be looking for more than that as i have a manual .

you can modify it while under warranty, but whatever area of the car is modded you’ll lose warranty there. If you remap it, no drivetrain warranty, but you’ll be able to put it in for work for the headlights for example

I've seen a few vids on 800hp g87s but I think 600ish hp is prob the sweet spot in terms of grip for the g87. Its plenty fast out of the box (night and day faster than the old one) and it definitely puts the power down a lot better than the f platform. (My old f80 m3 CS never really put the power down that well and was so frustrating to drive). but even at 500ish hp in the g87, it's still testing the limits of grip at times so I would think 550-650hp would be perfect.

s58 is a fucking monster 650-700whp with just tuned drop in filter catless dp and it will do it reliably on the street plus the zf8hp is strong enough to handle the power drop in a csf charge manifold and boom you get yourself a track car that wont drop power what so ever in a 30min stint.

Normally i do not watch these videos. It's just too heavy..? Clubsport really? Those seats, nothing Clubsport about them, a car of this level needs a top quality "lightweight" seat in lightweight material not heavy leather? Do you wear Doc Martins? The seats should look and fit the M2 styling. Maybe some Sabelt. I have also noticed that bounce in the suspension and if you listen to the engine note its not putting the power down. Maybe more compression and less rebound. maybe a lighter spring rate for a road car. I would fit a 9" front wheel and a 255 tyre for a sharper steering less tramlining and less demand on the wishbones. Also saving weight. The Blue EBC doesn't work, go to Pagid. The same compound. Put the original airbox back as it makes more power and a better cooler burn. Maybe as a road car take that spoiler off. BMW are making a M2 clubsport and in the process... it will not look like this.

If you know how these things work then you'll know that time wasn't set with a random car off the production line rather it would have been "optimized" by M to set that time as are all manufacture attempts, usually nothing crazy but deffo 'set up' and with a killer pro driver at the wheel Next if you understand motor sport you'll know one whole second improvement off a lap time is a massive leap. Here you're happily wiping off two thirds of a MINUTE for some trick parts a remap and matey in the driver's seat I dunno - seems a stretch imo For context the 992 GT3 RS took TWO WHOLE SECONDS off it's 991.2 GT3 older brother. Have you seen the fricking extent of track focused engineering on a new chassis that went into the 992 ontop of what was learned from the already ridiculous 991 RS for just 2 seconds????? I hope this makes sense Taking nothing away from the M2 we're here because we LOVE IT regardless
