There are plenty of reasons not to drink that swirl in the first place. In fact, there are plenty of reasons to avoid nestlé, unilever and the coca cola company. But the average person is too lazy and dumb to avoid these companies' products, nor do they care. The only alternative is political action against undesirable multinational companies but pretty sure politicians are hesitant to actually hold companies to account.

In a movie theater, I saw them use AI. However, it was fine, because this was a small local theater that barely had any people on a Friday evening. Not only that, AI was used once, and it was for something like “We do birthday parties! Rent out a-“ you get the idea. That didn’t bother me because the AI was a background image, the difference here is that a small, low budget theater used AI ONCE in a minor way. The fact that this billion dollar company does this is so dumb, at least that movie theater actually had a reason to, yknow?
@kallemetsahalme570117 күн бұрын
things start from small. personally im worried even about the small game/movie/etc makers. people say its good that the solo creators can use ai to help out. but you know that if the solo creators rely on ai instead of finding cheap partners, then that will eventually bleed into the big corporations. "graphic artist? we dont need those, i made a multimillion game by myself with help of a.i.. why should we in ea have any artists?"
@beverlyp.g995916 сағат бұрын
@@kallemetsahalme5701I agree, but not so much for the stated reasons, but because those small uses starts the process of numbing up/dumbing down people's reactions to AI use. You acclimate to it and it becomes "normal" and not at all shocking. Does anyone remember when a news report about a killing was shocking? I'm not implying that it was deliberate but as our personal world grew, we heard about more and more killings. Then came the reports about mass shootings, now even those are no longer shacking. This is just AI use in advertising. Do you really think that people are going to find it threatening enough to register shock, anger, or a shift of their moral compass?

Let me spill the beans here. The ad is an a/b test to experiment with whether an ai advert would increase sales of coca cola. Of course they knew people would react negatively but the question needed to be asked just how negatively? And despite the negativity would sales increase anyway? Because if sales still increase, that's the green light to do more and more ai adverts in the future.
@EpicVideos222 күн бұрын
To go further coca cola is the top dog of marketing, and they're too big to fail. They're testing the ai adverts now and if they find success, then the other companies will follow suit. And sales are their measure of success not what people say on twitter.

I think AI could really benefit a lot of small creators who don't have easy access to high budget stuff but still want to do some ambitious things. Those kinds of people aren't putting other artists out of business, they're gaining access to a lower quality version of a product they can actually afford. The issues here are: 1: You gotta use that stuff sparingly, so I can't immediately tell what bits are AI. 2: Real people and AI do not mix. They just don't. Stylize that stuff. 3: COKE IS NOT A SMALL CREATOR; THEY ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST DRINK COMPANIES IN THE WORLD. THEY DO NOT NEED TO USE AI LIKE THIS.

All those trucks used in the '95 version were climate destroying behemoths, not so much in the AI version. Right? No obscene trucks, cars etc etc for all the masses required to film anything on location. No ridiculous salaries for overpaid actors. I just dont see a downside here. And yes, I know the "AI is destroying the climate" argument, but isn't it just a trade off for all the pollutants that weren't put into the atmosphere etc etc, with a live location based filming?
