Just thought I’d chime in and say that Flux1 [dev] on Huggingface works quickly and well on my old iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (3rd generation)! My GPU, though relatively feeble with just 7 cores and 4Gb RAM, quickly acquired and I got a really crisp and correct output to: “Lady holding a sign saying ‘Yes!’ “ in about 10 seconds. I’m thrilled and if I need to do something more complex I’ll use my Windows machine, but that won’t be very often 🎉

Perhaps that's why you prefer it, because it gives more details to the foreground, but doing that, we lose all details of the background, which makes it infinitely easier to generate the images. @@futurethewolf5624 AI is a tool, just like a PC 30 yars ago. I remember when the first PCs appeared in companies and people were also reluctant because they though that they would lose their jobs. I use AI for image generation and it's great but the AI does nothing by itself. It makes image creation much easier, cheaper. Of course designers will suffer if they don't adapt. The main problem with AI is that if you let the AI do the job by itself you will mostly always end up with the same crap.

3D anime like dolls aka women with bigger eyes work. But you have to add "adult female", since other models have old as standard while this one leans younger. So I once encountered an OF girl on Reddit, she had those "verification photos", but I had this overwhelming sense that she is AI generated, due to her being a mix of Columbian and Asian, I do not doubt that real people like her exist, but he photos looks way too AI generated to be real. My suspicion only grew when she started asking over $100 for a 1 minute video chat, as well as AI-ish responses to my chat messages. I let the OF customer support team know, and they told me that OF do not allow AI generated images on their platform. Later that girl's profile is gone. Now knowing that software like Flux can generate "verification photos" and realistic selfies and hands, it is became even easier for scammer to catfish people, and this time no one will be able to get them in trouble, because they are not using anyone else's existing photos.

Why are companies investing in this, though? Not hiring workers for photoshoots is profitable. The opportunity to create misinformation and division among people can be very profitable. Making a platform seem livelier than it really is can be profitable. Creating a cultural dependence on AI for human connection can be profitable. All applications benefit larger interests than yours.

@@scitechaiutopia I can answer your question, I have a rtx 3070 [desktop] and 32 gigabytes of dual channel ram (3200mhz, ddr4, 2 x 16) and it takes minimum 300, maximum 320 seconds for a 2048x2048, I had to increase the virtual system memory/swap to 10gb's and be sure to know that It runs out of ram and uses disk space as ram (swapping) and thats why I had to increase SWAP/virtual system memory/ram. I used the default 3.5 guidance and 20 steps. Note that It can vary a lot depending on your gpu's condition and form factor. If you are thinking of wide images, 1552 height and 2048 width is a good sweetspot. I used the Flux dev 1.0 (FP8) along with the needed clip_L and t5xxl fp8 text encoder. You need the lowvram flag that loads the model to ram partially but it runs out of ram when it is offloading, thats why you also need swap.

I‘m surprised by how good SDXL is with anime and illustrations. Yeah, the prompts are not 100% correctly applied (though neither is Flux), but the drawing style is really nice. I also like some of the illustrations (woman with gun, girl in front of store). But apart from that, Flux is in a league of its own

Meh I tried it and even the DEV-version still has a lot of flaws: - sometimes it made sth different or missed out on stuff I wrote - once an image even was upside down - doesn't recognize celebrities that well as they range from "with imagination I could recognize that person" to "that it some random person" - tested hands+feet and while the amount of fingers and toes are always correct it still had some abominations every now and then 😅 It's not the new king yet, but I gotta say the quality is good and I love that you can have free access to it and it doesn't hide between a paywall or only grants a tiny amount of credits to test Edit: Scratch that, even after registering you only get like 5 tries before it says "you don't have enough ressources left, upgrade to pro"

Nothing new has happened with AI since 2014 when supercomputer Eugene Goostman passed the first turing test. All AI is today is a reworked version of this program remade over and over with more information added from bigger datasets and neural network response, not showing any sign of true conscious intelligence or human likeness and creativity. The Bots and Robotics we see today are just programmed to spit out whatever the programmer has store on the AI neural network of {if}, {else if} and {else if {or}} coded statements. AI is nothing more than a fast glorified response library of information created by humans mashing up huge stored server information from artists, poets, books, musicians, photographers and film makers. Humans can do the same thing but it takes longer to find the right combination to make the media manipulation such as these photos to look unique using actual human artworks and photoshop techniques. Same goes for the responses. Any response from AI like chatgpt are just reworked sentences the AI finds in its neural network storage taken from phone calls, texts messages and posts from social media and other chat based sites. Everything the AI says has been said before either from an actual person, movie quote or written prompt text from the programmer themselves. AI will never replicate the true insight and creativity a human can do. AI is a tool to better our creativity and nothing more. Why do you think prompts can not be an entire paragraph of deep intellectual conversations of opposition ?, because it can not understand what is being said it can only take certain texts and ques from the users inputs and generate a response to make it seem that it is having an actual conversation. Sorry but this is the truth anyone that has coded an independent AI program can back me up on this. It is like mixing clay with Iron, and it eventually becomes brittle and breaks down to its natural state, nothing more than a man under a table moving gears and twisting nobs for the entertainment of the blissfully ignorant man or like a talking doll for the girl that press the try me button in the toy store. Tech companies like to play with us like this and try to convince us they have replicated what God has done but we are not worthy of that kind of knowledge nobody is and we need to accept that. Ive actually thought a lot about using a mix of transformer with diffusion ever since i saw tortoise-tts come up with this concept, you could potentially use the same architecture but instead of MEL images you use normal images. The idea is to come up with a transformer model that generates many "ideas of prompts"(latent vector states) and then ranks them and uses the best one to actually generate an image. You could do the same with gpt models, get one transformer to generate ideas to feed to another transformer to turn them into text.

Well, it may come as something of a shocked to a fair number of readers/viewers, as well as to this video's creator, but 5 and 6 string bass guitars do exist and in some genres are quite common-particularly in certain flavors of metal. When you (content creator) mentioned that 🙄 the images needed to have "four strings", you gave me quite the chuckle. Unfortunately, however, as 5 and 6 string bass guitars exist and are more common than you seem to believe, it falls upon me it seems to inform you of such. And since they exist and they probably have been photographed quite often, that's going to throw off the image generators. I would have argued that a more accurate test would be whether the prompt specified the number of strings and then the image generation software proceeded to accurately represent that number. Such as having an image where you have three electric bassists-each with a different number of strings for their electric Bass guitar. Feel free to look it up. But you're going to find out surprisingly enough that extra frets and extra strings are not as uncommon as people really do seem to believe. While it is true that the average bass is a four-stringed instrument, that is not universally true.

It's incredibly good. It of course sometimes forgets instructions such as eye color but the physics and logic is impeccable. I tried to do something complex, such as a big spider on a bed. It got the indentations of its creepy legs on the duvet cover.
