You're right, he's wrong. Hip firing on Ana is less accurate and her hip fire is projectile, so it takes time to travel which could mean life or death for a dps in a duel. Scoped in is hitscan.

The valve servers on Tf2 have the bot issue but it’s not as bad cause there’s community servers that have bot preventing measures in place so I usually play map rotating causal servers, I don’t think overwatch has that level of community servers up so the cheating issue is gonna hit hard

It’s insane how many cheaters there are right now. Last week me and my friends stacked up to play ranked for the first time this season. I kid you not, the first game we get into, both dps on the enemy team are hard locking with walls. Told the enemy team but we couldn’t do anything since it was KotH/Control. Ended up losing the game, everyone reported the cheaters but I don’t have high hopes that they’ll get banned anytime soon.

It sucks because this is a problem that is plagueing all shooters and none of these companies want to admit how hard they're failing at preventing or even banning these accounts in any meaningful way. When blizzard says they banned 50k cheaters that's really just a ton of spoofed or bought accounts that will come right back because the cheater hides their IP address or does any number of things to prevent getting a real perma ban. 50k could be as few as 5 thousand cheaters with 10 alts, but they'd never admit this because it would highlight how helpless they are to uphold the integrity of their games. They're foolish to brag about these ban waves. All it's telling us is "hey our game is consistently riddled with cheaters to the point we can fake brag about banning x amount every few months." It's a pathetic tell and they're too foolish to read between the lines of their own bs.

There's only so much you can do to ban people without breaching deeper into users computers. This situation was a contentious issue with games like Valorant. Riot uses kernel level anti-cheat detection which is absurdly invasive by monitoring all of your PCs activity even when the game isn't running. Yeah, you'd be able to identify malware directly, but it comes at a really high cost. Also, to solidify bans more, you'd have to grant them accsess to your hardware information which would allow them to hardware ban users spoofing their IP. Them "bragging" about banning what they can without intruding on your personal privacy should be considered a win if you care at all about not having literally all of your data mined by a company. Developers are playing a game where they are always behind. They have to play catch-up to cheat softwares. Your expectations, while based in valid concern, are probably a bit too high. Just food for thought.

If you see an Ashe in Silver/Gold get that many headshots while running around spamming hip fire with hilariously wide damage spread, but can't even aim at and hit their own dynamites, you should know they're cheating 100%. At that point, you report them and hope that Blizzard ends the game. At higher ranks you can ask for mass reports and people may comply, and agree to a draw. At low ranks, this generally isn't possible as low elo players want the free win so they can "rank up out of elo hell." Lol. I wouldn't even call them out in match chat, as it will only trigger their teammates to pocket and protect them while he hands them the free win. It has always been like that in this game... Since at least 2017 when I started playing, this has been the case.

If they make a system that bans cheaters immediately, the cheat devs will figure out how they're being detected and come up with a quick fix. If they ban them in waves so the cheat devs have a harder time figuring out why their cheats are being detected, players suffer because they have to deal with cheaters for weeks or months on end. It's lose-lose for the game devs, and this is happening in most competitive games. Cheat devs are cockroaches, and it sucks that there's a demand from a group of losers that will pay them any amount of money to be artificially better at a video game. I don't even know how they can deal with them besides suing them IRL, and that's hard because I imagine most of the cheat devs are anonymous and have no traceable Internet identity. It sucks that we, the consumers, have to deal with it, but we should be mindful that there's a very dark underbelly to the integrity of competitive gaming.

require a anticheat to be installed on your machine with battlenet if its not installed and running overwatch will not start. The anticheat logs your gameplay. You will stop a lot of cheaters.

What happened to the game we loved? It died with 5v5, bad pve, and a 2 in the logo. All I feel is apathy and it sucks. At least the game was somewhat enjoyable during the 3 year drought at the end of ow1. Your channel I believe was MADE during that "dead game" and now its more in the gutter than ever before, even with f2p access. If 5v5 didn't happen and we just went f2p, almost guaranteed the queue times wouldn't have been that bad. As it stands right now, because of the state of tank rn, we probably have only half the amount of tanks left playing the game compared to ow1. If that is the case, then the distribution ratio between tanks, dps, and supports that are available to pull from, compared to the amount that are required to play the game is the exact same. if there were 20 tanks, 60 dps, and 80 supports all queueing at the same time in ow1, that is a 1:3:4 ratio where 2 tanks, 2 dps and 2 supports are needed if the switch to 5v5 caused the tank role to feel like shit because of the constant counterswapping, and cause half the tanks to leave because of how bad it feels then now we are left with 10 tanks, 60 dps, and 80 supports queueing. With there only being 1 tank, 2 dps, and 2 supports. Which would effectively make that ratio .5:3:4 realistically, but it will feel the same as 1:3:4 because 1 less tank is needed. 6v6 wont immediately fix it, there will need to be a lot of reworks and reverts to get these tanks working back into 6v6. But the ultimate problem is that blizzard won't even have an open discussion with the community about the topic. This is what is happening with genshin impact and wuthering waves. Some game will come out and do the same thing to overwatch if it doesn't at least address a topic that is so incredibly important. Screw blizzard's PR team, I don't care about overwatch's PR at this point. Overwatch's PR is already such an unsalvageable disaster that I don't think even going back to 6v6 will save it at this point. I don't claim to have a solution to the problem, it seems too far gone. At least during 6v6, almost every top player (I'm not one) in the game seemed to have a lot of the same solutions to help bring the balance in the game backed with logic and reasoning that seemed reasonable. And when they tried it for one month everyone collectively lost there shit talking about how good the game was. Even Seagull came back for it, the same person who broke down after 3 games of tank in 5v5. Now? No one seems to have an answer for how to help tank feel good again. At least, not one that the people at Blizzard are open to discussing. And seeing you almost every video say that there is no answer, saddens me. You lived through the tough time of OW1 3 year drought. So did I. I would say that right now I find it tougher to boot up the game now, than I did at any point during that tough time. TL;DR: 5v5 sucks, Tank sucks, Queue times feel just as bad, Screw Blizzard for not even having a discussion about 6v6, and it saddens me to start seeing a lot of content creators move to other games because of the apathy they feel towards the game. Blizzard needs to do what CS:GO did with their game. CS:GO had something, funnily enough, called "overwatch". They turned to their player base and gave select people the ability to watch reported replays and judge whether someone was cheating or not. I don't know if the ones "overwatching" reports had the final say to ban potential cheaters or if they went to an actual employee for the final say but cheating in OW2 is getting to that point where they need to actively be doing something about it. The clip with Emongg happens to me on Titanfall as well. When playing frontier defence if the cheater is hacking and being out classed by another player, they'll literally lag game or insome instantizes actually stop you from getting kills or getting MVP, by blocking your own movement But I can normally by pass that by dropping the mech and going a mech and pilot combo which normally makes then instant leave. Because they aint good, and can't compete. Oh and they're normally the ones teabagging their team mates because they got MVP.. from cheating which is such a dick move! And shows their utter garbage mindset.

The banwave thing just makes no sense to me. Like that's perfectly fine for *some* activities in an MMO. Nail botters and RMT in waves so they don't know *how* they were caught. The thing is that works because those activities don't impact the moment-to-moment experience for other players. That philosophy does not carry over to something that can instantly ruin another player's game. In an MMO, you want to ban people cheating in PvP immediately. And in a game like Overwatch that's *all* PvP and everything affects the moment-to-moment experience, you need to ban all cheaters as they're caught. Allowing them weeks or a month to shit up the lobbies is a net negative, and it can and does hurt player retention. TL;DR: Blizzard run by nincompoops.

Manual reviewers should play a big part in cheat detection, especially when it’s so blatant like this. They should have someone manually spectating a player after so many reports for cheating in a certain period of time (especially when both teams report it)

Blizzard needs to stop doing Ban Waves in a FPS Game its not Healthy for it, population drops during those 6 months of waiting for them to get the cheaters out of here. Ban Waves Work great for MMORPS like WoW for sure but an FPS Game needs a Consistent updated Anti Cheat System. Every 6 Months we get like 1 or 2 months with no Hackers, then they start rolling back in and we get 4 or 5 months of cheaters again. its Annoying. Yah Know what we need?? The Cheat creators need to make a Cheat that gives you Paid Currency THEN MAYBE Blizzard will actually freaking make their Anti Cheat Good and consistently update it instead of dumb Ban Waves.

its sad because i've always been kind of on the fence about ow going ftp specifically because i knew cheaters would run rampant and overwatch isn't exactly well known for their swift responses. no hate to overwatch either, they are just moreso the type to "stockpile" into a big explosion. like when jeff said "we don't want toxic people in our games" and literally dropped the biggest ban bomb we have ever seen. the devs are comfortable with stockpiling to a BIG drop of content, and ftp models are just...too predatory for that sort of model to work, and you can sorta see it nowadays with how much they are struggling. overwatch needs some fundamental changes. they need better cosmetics so they can lower prices for skins so things are more worth the prices but they still make profit. and this will let them achieve much better things like for example...a better cheat detection system. weapon skins are a good start but they need MORE, like pets that show up pre-game/custom games, custom UI theme elements (imagine a water-UI theme for example where cd's slowly fill up with water rather then the bland line and your ult and "on fire" become water themed OR IMAGINE A CLASSIC people would pay hard for that UI or get it free if you played ow1 before) they NEED better cosmetics because 20 dollars for skins is rediculous, 10 dollars for weapon skins is predatory, and souvineers are some of the most pointless additions to this game. and with more cosmetics, even if some are basic like turning all skins weapons into...well...weapon skins they NEED more money, and this current model isn't going to cut it. they wanted to go ftp, but theres not enough to warrent it BEING ftp, and thats a BIG issue, especially when they need money for basic stuff like anticheat

Hackers get away with this for free BUT I got banned for "using hacks" last weekend. I swear to god I've never used hacks or cheats. And I tried to get my account back but I'm not being able to have a human being to check my appeal. Only Automated responses. The Forum doesn't work either. Not only I feel super frustrated and depressed, This makes me think Overwatch staff just doesn't care at all for the game experience. I don't even file like creating a secondary account, what's the purpose? to accept that I'd lose all my skins and records? I feel like Overwatch staff is on the due to sabotage the game and community.

People say cheats don’t exists on console, yet… people can purchase controllers for 300+ with cheats programmed into it. Or even dealing with ximmers. Which… I’ve watched flats so long to watch for.
