They weren't that great mechanically, but getting spinbotted from two directions would be hard for anyone. Eventually his tank got so fed up that he leaves. ...and comes back like 2 mins later HARD LOCKING ONTO EVERYONE.

I've made a Smurf just because there's 0 penalty for doing so and it was only 0.99 cents, if you don't have an extra phone number laying around, that is. Its so free, thanks Blizz! I’m console but my friends are PC, so I play QP whenever they wanna play together. The amount of cheaters we get in QP is insane. Like at least 1 obvious cheater in a 2-3 hour play sesh. Lower rank has been sounding the alarm about cheaters for a while now. It was the top players that blew it off and said it wasn't that bad. Now that they're playing in your ranks you call it a problem and sounding the alarm? They're still in bronze terrorizing lobbies and crashing games. Just yesterday I had a Widow hardcore cheat. All elims were headshots, would shoot the walls and floor in between team fights, Would stand still at random to obviously adjust their hacks, and so on. Only reason we won was because our Sombra hard focused her knowing full well they were just a distraction before she got a headshot elim on them.

Best time of my life compared to OW despite all its issues being a closed beta and all because every role felt like it could do something. (Not certain characters, some were weak as expected, but every role was capable). And it's not a matter of "people don't know how to play yet." I was facing t500's from OW, and those mechanics and gamesense transfer really well into Rivals, much to my welcomed suprise.

The cheatering reminded me of a match I had a while ago where my Moira was pissed off and refused to heal me about halfway through the first fight (when he died) because I was playing ball. He convinced the other support to stop healing me, said on the mic that he avoided me as a teammate (cool, I guess I don't have to avoid him then) and said he was reporting me "for being an asshole." Then during the potg he accused the enemy Ashe of aimbotting when they obviously weren't. Dude was unhinged Oh, he also informed me at the end of the first round that "Ball was designed when there were two tanks, dumbass." So the only viable tanks are Ramattra, Mauga, and Junkerqueen, and everyone who beats you is aimbotting. There's so much cheating in Overwatch that stupid people who think they're a genius are getting super paranoid about it.

That bit about people being banned in chat is so damn true. Whenever I reported people going full on irl threats or hardcore cheating, even admitting to cheat on chat, they pretty much never got banned. But if they typed "ez"? Feedback screen next day lol. Even reporting someone for typing once, just "ez", the entire match, that was enough for a ban. Even worse is that instead of increasing their penalizations, they made it worse for leavers, not even AFKs blocking up a spot on the team, just leavers, so with the new cheats that crash and restart matches, we can't leave without getting a queue, while cheaters just crash matches over and over until they win. I'm glad I moved on from overwatch.

Timthetatman is a grand example. He had Warzone 1 devs watching his (and other streamers) streams and the cheaters would get banned LIVE. You are right on the money, if you have hard evidence of them cheating on a high profile streamers game. They should get the banhammer without hesitation. It's the same as committing a crime in front of a security camera or live sports event. The streamer is doing the GAME a favor, by playing it and getting the game attention.

I'm starting this by saying I'm not good at this game, never was. I loved playing it, but FPS games were always far from my forte. My main problem was always my aim. I can NOT aim, at all, on PC. I remember playing on PS5 with a friend for shits and giggles, where, using a controller, I had controller aim assist, and I felt REALLY bad. Was I hitting every single shot? No. But I was definitely more accurate than I was on PC. How people can sit there and use spin bots and what not, hit every single shot, and not feel even a tiny amount of remorse for the people they're playing against, is beyond me. Even taking the whole "OW2 has no anti cheat" thing out of the question, taking the potential of a ban out of a question. How do these people not feel bad for what they're doing?

Don't feel bad for controller aim assist, it's a borderline requirement to hit anything not standing still due to lack of micro adjustments and smooth adjustments that you just can't get with a stick. 2. These people don't care about the game, the other players within the game, or even thier own experience. It's a numbers game, they want to WIN and nothing else, they want to brag they are in top 500. They don't feel bad because they genuinely do not care about anything other than a scoreboard placement.

Because I’ve had games where everyone just lags out of nowhere and I kid you not, I had a QP game where there was a Junkrat shooting at me as Sombra while I was invisible. I was trolling him and I could not believe what I was watching, but he was literally shooting the air from his pov and perfect tracking me while invisible. It was not this “coincidence” of, oh hey, I’m just shooting randomly and hit the invisible Sombra, no no no, it was “I can’t see you but I can.” And he was literally chasing me around the map. It's the same at every level and in QP in at least every other game I play, and it's not like the old days when cheaters would worry and try and hide it if they popped off to much, nowadays they just flame you calling you trash while hard locking on to everything in their FOV because they know nothing will happen. It also seems Blizzard doesn't give a fuck, when I reported cheaters before a few days later I would get the "Thank you for your report message", I haven't had one of those for quite a while and my reports have gone up a lot.

That's just false. If anything the opposite. FtP means their income is from cosmetics, therefore unrelated to the amount of people purchasing the game. If the game was paid then income would taper off as less people would purchase the game say 6 years after release, whereas now, people are still buying skins. And don't be a fool, the amount of money that blizzard makes off of skins is absolutely ridiculous. More than enough to fund 10 game studios. The ppl at the top just pocket it all and fire a few employees to add a couple hundred k to their millions of $/year they are pulling in.

@Flats - not sure if you ever gonna read this but APEX, is currently having the exact same massive issue right now its out of control on Ranked Apex - its so bad that the "anti cheat devs - hideouts" is sitting watching the streamers and monitoring the games live to ban/remove the current cheaters in the match its so bad that EA "obviously" hasnt mentioned anything at all. and even pro players from ALGS are starting to say this is the lowest APEX has ever been Hopefully you make a video for both games. would be kwl yeah you also get banned if you say a slur or just type some frustration in your game - but the cheaters are rampant (in apex with regards to it)

cheating's gotten ridiculous. asked someone how they learned to snap their mouse to people earlier and got told 'get good freak' by their spectating buddy. can't wait until they introduce anti-cheat in OW3! /jk also every person I've seen talk about the state of the game say 'supports are fine' regarding balance and it drives me up the goddamn wall every time. it's so nice to hear someone say 'actually, the only people having fun are DPS and Roadhogs.' Blizzard won't throw us a life-ring, but it's nice that someone's finally noticed we're drowning. it's just refreshing to be united with tank players again under the banner of 'why do the devs hate us?'. (tho I'm convinced low rank Roadhogs aren't having fun; they're mad every game.)

They could do so much more against cheaters. Like WZ did, at least when I was playing it: set a flag on the cheater in the database and let them do literally 1 DPS. So they can click heads for 200 seconds on a 200 HP target to get the elimination. That would be so much more fun than just banning them in a wave every couple of months. And the flag turns into a HW ID ban after a couple of days.

as you already said flats... the last ban wave was with the rework of competitive and the sr reset in season 9.... now the game is in season 11 and the game still has some of the rage hackers that got reported in season 9 mid to end season 10.... we even had some matches where the entire enemy team was made out of rage hackers.... gladly the game anti cheat came back from vaccation in that game and canceled it midgame the whole enemy team was gone and we got the message cheater got detected in game no sr was lost and game ended. but still it get's out of hand we rly need a better anti cheat system like cod now has :/ the reason why i stopped playing ranked is bcz of to many rage hackers taking full fun out of the game and people who wants to get that free win and just pocket them... even when called out

what is crazy to me is that these cheaters have to literally climb all the way to high GM games and that whole time the anti cheat DOESNT pick them up and remove them and you know that along that way they have been reported so many times and still dont get banned.

Its not even the cheaters that sre the issue, its the players with massive egos and who only care about WINNING that are the issue. Notice how through the WHOLE video he is getring pocketed by the supports when at this point in the stream Bastionmain said "HEY, your Hanzo is HARD locking, and the Ana player replied with "Idc, lol." And then proceeds to help him, same with the lifeweaver. If you REALLY wanna make an impact, help ths GM-Top 500 players realize that blizzard isnt going to do anything, and end up banning you too, if you continue to play with cheaters and not stopping the game to draw/waste the cheaters time. As a GM3-GM2 tank, ive ran into 5 cheaters across 26 games. We only drew once, when the cheater was on the enemy twan. Other times when the cheater was on my team i just started throwing once I realized because im gokd enough to get the SR back...plus its not fun being carried by someone who has to cheat to win 😂

Wow, this is so sad to see. I abandoned overwatch 2 at launch since they required non prepaid phone numbers, and I ain’t dealing with that shit. The reason for that was to keep cheaters off of the game, and now seeing that cheaters are just a regular thing now makes my blood boil. Activision Blizzard is absolutely stupid.

you’re so right. I mained both tank and support since OW1 cuz my mechanics have never been at an extremely high level so i don’t want to play DPS and have no impact. However in the newest season of overwatch instead of playing the characters i used to find extremely fun i find myself drawn to the ones that make me feel able to have a large impact. Recently i started playing sombra and i hate her sm when i play against her she frustrates me so much i can’t turn my brain off in QP against her but playing her? yeah sorry having a blast

2 days ago my friends and I made the foolish mistake we could have fun in ow, and out of 10 consecutive games, 6 had hackers. One particular hacker we came across twice in the span of an hour and a half, and he was rage hacking as soldier just like this guy. He acted coy and smack talked when we called him out for it. The guy got potg both times where his aim was just like this but everyone in his team turned a blind eye each time both throughout the match and during potg recap.

I run into so many smurfs in my games it just stops being fun. Had this one game where a smurf was hard carrying the opposing team, kick our ass game 1 and 2, but they C9'd game 2 so we actually won that round. But the smurf must've thought they won and quickly exited the game only for us to reverse body the other team.

you know, as a support main who has tried branching out to DPS, i feel so much more confident in my abilities now. This is the only fps i play and i don't take it super serious, so I'm just a little mid-gold player....but at least I know how to aim proper and do tend to get my shots right without relying on cheats

sometimes when you see the cheater’s “real aim” its not actually their real aim. since they know they have aimbot, they dont actually really try to shoot at the enemy, they just put their crosshair within the FOV of the aimbot and let the bot do the rest, which can make them look awful. am i sticking up for them? absolutely not, theyre still extremely terrible players, but this is probably why you see them aim the way they do

i play in high plat-low diamond lobbies. the amount of cheaters i have in my games is actually ridiculous like i stopped calling people out and checking VODs. now i push through the games like normal and hope that the cheater is ass.
