Then I wanted to see the lyrics so I was bebopping along and listen to Bon Jovi and saw the lyrics but then I fell outta of my chair when I saw you had recorded this tune TOO! Until a while ago I hadn't dared to comment on what, until today, January 30, 2024 (and counting...), is my favorite cover of Miss Florea. Definitely this cover is extraordinary in every sense of the word, as from the quality of the audio to Beatrice's expression, everything is carefully done for the greatest of viewer satisfaction. This song doesn't have much to be special, starting with the official video which I don't find appealing (the recordings seem to have been made in Thailand, a country I respect even if it's not necessarily on my travel bucket list, I think it's overrated in terms of scenery or maybe it's just personal taste). Secondly, Jon Bon Jovi sings very well, but I think he doesn't reach the registers I'd like to hear in this song, or I should say that I don't hear the sentimentality required for this song (something typical of power ballads), which, to its credit, does have a passionate, heartfelt lyric and a wonderful instrumental accompaniment. But in this work, Beatrice does LIVE the song, to the point that she seems to be going through a recent love breakup (or at least she gave a very real performance). You captured the grief and longing that can come with the end of a relationship and expressed it as professionally as ever. I constantly think about how lucky I'm to have been born at the right time, as there is you for us and your works are like the perfect birthday gift for the soul and ear. Thank you, Beatrice, may God give you long life and remember to take care of those vocal cords! ❤
