it's all about money instead of paying a photographer to capture footage or pay for stock footage from a website, you can just type in a prompt, create the thing and it'll be all free. However people are ignoring the fact that at the rate we're going, an AI will be able to create entire youtube videos, complete with a script, editing, a voice etc. And where do you draw the line? TV Shows? Movies? Hell I won't be surprised if in the next 10 years AI will be able to create humans from scratch but we'll see. I may sound crazy now but imagine the people who said "AI will be able to make stock footage from scratch" a few years ago. Are they crazy? When everything is AI generated...nothing will be.

im not really sure why, but in terms of individual creativity, things like this quite excite me. say you're someone who enjoys writing and not animating, tools like this could be great for those who dont particularly find passion in a certain area. I guess it depends on how someone views art. it made me realize i dont judge art on the process of which its made, and dont get me wrong, i can appreciate it, but in the end that said process doesn't really amount to my actual enjoyment in the final piece of media it creates. 20 years or 2 seconds, i will like any piece of art if it hits my brain the right way. of course, this is the more philosophical side of discussions. i'm aware of the miriade of legal complaints and issues with generators, which i cant commend on as i have not done enough research as of yet to truly have a confident rudimentary overlook of how this specific generator works. of course the main true concern is how all of this will play a role in the business of art; how corporations will utilize this tool specifically. to me, that is the part where we should really watch and regulate to prevent abuse. obviously not the only part though. I, like many am unsure on how I feel I guess. But i am just so fascinated by the limitless creativity this will allow individuals to have, the technology, and how people react to it. Peoples reactions to this technology just shows how different we all view art as a whole and what gives it value to us. i don't think AI will replace humans in art, at least philosophically speaking, the passion and fun of creating in a medium you love, in which you pour your own emotions on the canvas and make it uniquely yours, will never go away. Because no matter the art, drawing, painting, filmmaking, or sculpting; someone can probably make what your making, and probably better. but its that unique personal touch which separates it from everything else. in the end, that's what art is. your style, your eye, your vision. I suppose an apt, but of course not 1 to 1 comparison, would be like using pre made 3D models. Series like the Backrooms use, pretty much, all pre paid assets. But its how you twist it to your vision in which you create something new. Because i assume if the creator enjoyed modelling say, humans, he would have done it himself, but if he finds no passion in this area it simply could just be viewed as a waste if time, because that's not a element he gets enjoyment from.

It can for example generate realistic prototypes or simulations of products, buildings, or environments, allowing designers and engineers to visualize concepts before production. Like film makers can create concepts on how a scene can possibly look like. It maybe to provide visual descriptions for deaf people for them to understand your idea better. All this AI tech is great, but as for everything else it needs restrictions OR at least control. But most of all it needs awareness. Before it can be shared or used in other content there HAS to be a clear indication that it is AI. It's gonna be scary for the idiots who want to push a political agenda. And people need to learn how to recognize AI creations. What to look for, where, etc. AI shouldn't be a substitute to those who can actually make the things. It should be used as a way to get ideas down, inspiration or even help people and small teams who are working alone and can't afford to spend a bunch of money to work with others. I'm especially against companies replacing workers that do easier tasks for AI.

Its because art is not respected anymore, because its not profitable. Writers, Musicians, Animators, Painters are all threatened by this new innovation in AI, and i genuinely think it's justified to want to regulate or completely ban AI from the art field entirely, and I agree (I am a writer). I dont see a problem with using it as a tool, if i cant think of i title for something, Ill ask ChatGPT and draw inspiration from the nonsense it generates. Art is purely Human, its why most AI art is so soulless. Art is the ultimate expression of human creativity, human emotions, it makes up our very culture, and I think the people who are supporting this move to automate art with AI dont understand that, or dont care to. Its all really annoying to see people say that writers should be replaced with AI because "they'll do a better job", and they really wont. A lot of movies with bad writing either came from rushed production times, overworked writers, millions of layers of blockades, or just generally depressed and dissatisfied writers who are disgusted by the industry as a whole. Its really sad to see Art be treated like another thing to make a profit from, just another consequence of consumer culture. We might as well call it quits and end the world.
@jonasskjtt55428 ай бұрын
People have said the same about big innovations in the past. I'm sure things are not as bad as you make it out to be. Is things gonna change, probably, but the world is still gonna be here after this I believe.
@yt-dman8 ай бұрын
yap language. when art is used to make a profit it is almost rarely ever an ''expression of human creativity'', you shouldn't need dollar bills to create things. I view this as a positive thing because it means that anyone can create whatever they dream of without having to own some big business to create a movie. "A lot of movies with bad writing came from rushed production times, overworked writers" You just listed positives for AI, imagine these studios having way more time to do the stuff they want without the stress of production times or overworked writers. Or even, these writers can quit entirely and create their own stuff, without being big budget corporations.
@SirMr108 ай бұрын
@@yt-dman but artist want to make art as their job, its their passion, I enjoy writing and I wish i could have it be my job, but i cant because it doesnt bring in enough money to live. Thats the problem, artist are seen as lesser by big corporations, so they get treated like garbage. I think the problem is that you're not artistic nor have you looked into the artistic field, so you just assume stuff. And dont use any of that "Well thats just reality" bs on me, it doesnt have to be Also the problem with AI is that its soulless, its art is ass.
@yt-dman8 ай бұрын
@@SirMr10 AI's art is based off actual people's art, seems like a bit of friendly fire LMAO. I agree that I'm not an artist, but I don't think I'm making any crazy assumptions. If artists are being treated terribly, then what better solution is there than replacing them completely? If AI art really is soulless and ass, then there is no worry because now you just go back to corporations exploiting artists again. AI art existing or not doesn't really change the exploiting artist type shituation. A lot of cases where people tend to say that turning your passion into a job isn't always a good thing too because it becomes more about getting paid than just having fun. And then you get burning out and stuff.
@SirMr108 ай бұрын
