Russians radar for the s-300/400 only reaches 200 miles or less . So they’re claim they can hit things 400 km is nothing but BS

There's effective range and peak range. Sure it can reach over 200 miles. Just like Patriot can reach over 100 miles. The speed of the missile decrease and it becomes less accurate. If the target fly straight that can be easily predicted, then decrease of the missile still have a high chance of hitting it. If the target can change direction, the effective range decrease significant. I always say, what's make a good anti air missiles system it's their radar detector. If you can spot it and track it, you can hit it. If you can spot it, your just a sitting duck. This is why the war in Russia and UK their tanks is just sitting duck. It can't stop a small drone or artillery shell or a small missiles like himars.

A few remarks: The S-400 complex exist of a range of complementary equipment, which is a lot more elaborate than the launcher discussed in this video. The Patriot system has been mired with failures and the massive fiasco in Saudi Arabia and the more recent experience in Ukraine prove unequivocally that these issues are not resolved and that the effectiveness of the system is widely overrated. The presenter contradicts himself first by stating that the reports from the US military on the success of this system, turned out to be complete bogus, while later he claims that the US is more transparent than the Russians. Fact is that both parties lie about the capabilities of their systems and that none of them are reliable. Beside this, Russia already developed and operates new systems like the S-500 and the S-550 which are even more sophisticated than the S-400 system. Probably the only advantage the Patriot offers in comparison with the S-400 is that it is more flexible.

And yet hundreds (if not thousands) of Ukrainian drones, cruse missiles, aircraft launched munitions, and an array of other missiles have being hitting targets all over occupied Ukrainie and in Russia, as far as Moscow and the border with Estonia. Was the S400 on holidays when all this happened? You also said the patriot was not successful in Ukraine. So maybe you could explain why there was a huge drop in the number of Iranian drones & russian missiles hitting their targets in Kiev after the first patriot was put in to action?

@@denisphelan8987 If you just take the effort to look at the map and take in account the small ruler which indicated the scale of this map, you would already know the answer to your remarks. Ukraine is a huge country and there is no force in the world or even all combined, which has the equipment to cover the complete surface of Ukraine. Furthermore, the US is providing the Ukrainians continuously with satellite intel about the area's which are not covered by Russian air defense systems. The Ukrainians were initially able to get some of their drones trough to Moscow, because their air defense systems were not calibrated to intercept them. Lately I have not heard or seen any successful drone attack on Moscow. Finally, if you can get close enough to the target, before launching your drone, you can keep it from being detected by remaining under the radar.
