The fact that alliance server players are resorting to straight up cheating as a security measure against rogue ships is insane to me. If that starts to become a well-known thing that a lot of alliances end up doing, it could potentially be pretty bad for them.

Rare should implement a system for when there is a 5 ship alliance, the 6th ship should join the game, maybe just literally take top hourglass players and task them with hunting the alliance, that would end this alliance server crap.

Your blunderbomb did nothing to that one guy because of Server Corrections, which is an intentional system. Essentially, the game's visuals are rendered clientside to provide a smoother visual experience (this is a system dedicated to viewers, not players), with less teleporting and such. What this means is, however, your projectiles and player/ship positions are being rendered independently of what the server is 'seeing', so the two will on occasion not line up. This _would_ be relatively fine if not for the fact that the players in this game are either erratically moving in all combat or on a ship that's moving constantly on the waves, causing some very complex movements that the clientside rendering cannot accurately display, though it does do its best. I believe hit markers run on a _separate_ version of this same system, hence their ridiculous inconsistency. This helps in visible ways - with the ping you had, things weren't always teleporting, and this system is why, though it does have limits. But it hurts a lot more when the gameplay relies a lot on things being visible. What does this all mean? It means: -Hit registration is fine (it does get worse at times but that's a separate issue and only really shows itself with a _lot_ in one area, even three ships it usually handles) -It means that these systems are functioning as intended and thus not slated to ever be removed -It means that Rare focuses more on making watching the game fun than they focus on making playing the game fun I dunno what the fuck was going on with those beacons. I'm not even going to begin to try to explain that.
