I really like this video because you spoke from the heart and you pointed out the day to day issues that we all are going through. June 11th 2019 I suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital; I was 90% blocked in the main artery; I had a stint put in that artery. This chest pain only bothered me when it was cold outside and not while I was lifting 70lbs plastic panels. It was one of the two times I was scared for my life and don't wish this type of issue on anyone. I'm 67 yrs old and also should be exercising daily. Thank you Blake. Have a nice weekend David Chatelle

Hey brother! I very rarely comment on the internet, but your message touched me and I wanted to give you some hard earned wisdom. I wen't through what you're going when I was your age too. Doctors wanted to put me on beta blockers and other meds that had a long list of side effects and a dubious efficacy at best. Thank god I had the time and motivation to do my own research and find the real culprit instead of managing the symptoms with pills. What I discovered was that panic attacks often are a symptom of a metabolic disorder such as leaky gut, irritable bowel syndrome, insulin resistance and so on. Btw having a gut is a sign of insulin resistance. Over the next years I managed to completely heal myself by changing my diet. First I stopped eating any food that came out of a factory (it's really not food but industrial waste). Then I discovered keto, which made me realize how much sugar and carbs I have been consuming. Then finally ended up at a mostly carnivore diet, which fixed my last symptoms. Hope my story inspires you to take your health into your own hands and live a long and healthy life. God bless you and your family.

48 now and about 10yrs ago I went to the hospital with what I thought was a heart attack. Wasn't, it was an expensive panic attack. Now for the positive is that because of all the tests we learned that I had an enlarged left ventricle caused by sleep apnea. Been on a CPAP ever since. If not for that panic attack, I might not be here today. Have had many meetings with my "brain coach" as I call them since. I would go previous to the panic attack but in reality all I spoke about was probably surface level. Can't say I'm in the best fit for health now but mentally much better. Making physical changes for the past year. Mental health is huge!! Mind over matter is real. There is zero shame in seeking help. I tell anyone that seems to need help all about my experience. Appreciate you sharing yours! The more men talk about it, hopefully it will become less taboo.

Blake I'm praying for you, myself, all of us brother, we as men are really over looked, Men are there for everyone else but at the end of the day whose there for us, no one ever stops to think what about so and so how's he doing, I've often found myself checking on everyone else, I'm always making phone calls, sending out text messages, but months would go by or even a year or so before I heard from people that I would consider a friend, so I stopped reaching out, stopped working so hard, it's so much stress I've released by not caring, forgive me Lord but a heavy burden has been lifted when I stopped caring, in the end Men's mental health is very important, I'm reminded of it everyday, my wife and children need me so much, I've let go and let God take the wheel because I surely can't do it all on my own, Blake, guys slow down get some rest release, hunt more fish more, take daily naps, whatever is needed, God bless God is Love

Took a full year off from work and went back then ultimately decided to resign due to the stress returning. Chest pains, abnormal heartbeat with no blood pressure issues have not been any problem since retiring completely in 2013. There’s only one “you”, so you’ve got to take care of yourself and mental stress(PTSD) comes to many professions and effects people different ways !!!!

Hey Blake, I'm 43 now but when I was around 30 and my kids were small and stress was high. I also started having major panic attacks, people joke about them. Panic attacks are serious, your body gives all the symptoms of a heart attack. It sounds like you get the same symptoms as me, I've been to the hospital more times than I can count, thinking I was leaving this place. I take Paxil now, it really helps and keeps the panic attacks away. It also lowers your blood pressure some due to not being as anxious and high strung. You should look into it, it has its drawbacks but not ending up at the hospital thinking i'm dying is a big pro lol. I came off it for a year wondering if I still have panic attacks, about 12 months later I had 4 back to back in a 3 week span. So I've been back on it for about a year now and no Panic attacks since. Love your content brother, I live in Bama and just picked up a 2024 RZR XP 1000. Maybe I will see you out on the trails one day.

@@RealTalkPowersports I'm on Paxil and Indapamide (mild blood pressure medicine). You are high energy, high strung, outgoing.. Same here, I'm always moving something. If I'm not moving around i'm bouncing my legs up and down or something. That's the anxiety, can't sit still. If you start having panic attacks again, look into Paxil or Lexapro. Those were the only two that worked for me ( Paxil is cheaper if you don't have insurance, Publix for like 10 bucks a month).
