I am quite sure there is some dampening material inside the back cases of those two satellite speakers or otherwise it would sound quite discolored. So the way to make the woofer's case transparent and the rest black is quite a good decision. making transparent speaker baskets out of acrylic and a (milky) transparent cone out of Polypropylene would be possible, too but the result would not look as clean. There are many little problems that make it look imperfect, believe me. ;-)

Don't know if it has been mentioned but the line out and L/stereo/R switch is so you can hook 2 of them up and use them as left and right speakers. Connect your audio source to one of the speaker's line in, connect it's line out to the other speaker's line in, and then set the switches to L and R as needed so they know what audio channel to play.

If I had $1k dollars to spend, I'd pick the sennheiser headphones over these speakers shown in the video, that's for damn sure. Of course no one would ever buy a pair of cans in that price range (except some audiophiles). the L-stereo-R switch is for possibly using another "transparent speaker" for a left or right channel, and yes you would get more volume using 2, but the main purpose of it is that you can make a greater stereo seperation. instead of having the stereo image a foot wide, it could be 4,5,6,7 or however many feet you like your stereo image to be at for a more full experience

RTC Official it's got 2 fullrange drivers, so one will play L and the other R. So the 1 speaker plays in stereo. Switching it to L or R will make the speaker play the selected channel to both its fullrange drivers. This way you can use them in pairs (or even more I guess) cause it wouldn't make sense to have 2 speakers, then have them both play both channels. I mean, you'd be silly to spend 1400eur on a pair... But at least they give you the option.

I don't think that was a fair representation of the sound, just recording a speaker without proper mic placement it's expected to sound like shit, also it's got the 2 band eq on there so you could roll off some of the bass if you don't like it.

It has quality features like a cast woofer (not to mention there simply IS a woofer compared to all of the tinny portable Bluetooth speakers.)
