Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Male calico kittens are rare. As they don't usually fully develop in the uterus. So born deformed and or under developed. And the base breed of the calico is a siamese. I have a female once that would hook up with black male from down the street. She always threw chocolate point kittens.

@@kimcritchley8231our calicos…4 of them are 3 different breeds, American short hair(2), a mix of grey tabby and orange tabby and half Himalayan and half Scottish fold. They are found in most Breeds. It is a marking of a chromosome.

It makes sense that Lydia wouldn't react to kittens much-- as most cat allergies are actually from the proteins in the saliva and kittens don't groom themselves for a bit. Momma does that for them. Kitten is absolutely adorable!

Foster kittens don’t aggravate allergies as much because they haven’t learned to groom themselves. Normally mom would do the grooming, so without her there’s no saliva to irritate allergies. Plus they smell so sweet!

I recently rescued a kitty too! He's a little junkyard kitten (8weeks old) I named him 🍄Mushroom🍄He's white with grey/brown striped tail, head and splotches on his body! His mama was dumped on the side of the road and had babies with this man's cat, he didn't want them and little Mushroom was filthy with a squinty eye so I just had to take him. If you want to keep the fluorescent fixture you can always get LED tube bulbs, just like any LED they are brighter, more energy efficient and come in more color hues (i.e. cool white, day light and bright white) I think Darling and Autumn would be great names for little kittie.

Tortoise shell cats are almost always female, if you find one who's a male they're EXTREMELY rare and worth a LOT of money if they haven't been neutered. That's because tortoise shell males virtually always throw more tortoise shell kittens.

If you get her use to being bathed at a young age that will help with the allergies. I was very allergic and found that bathing them every now and then helped. Some cats really enjoy it.
