This anime is NOT a Attack on Titan copy

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress was an enjoyable anime for the first half. Even though it has similarities to Attack on Titan, it takes it on a path later on. The story later takes place more on steam trains and they are mostly outside of the wall. And it was really good in the first half. But after the main villain was introduced, honesty became bad.

Imagine you live on an island Isolated by massive wall. Walls that are protecting mankind from the endless swarm of Kabane. Creatures who were once human but have been affected by a mysterious virus. And the one way to kill these beings is by destroying their hearth, which is protected by a layer of iron.
But luckily you have created a new deadly weapon that you believe will easily pierce the iron hearts of the Kabane. And your chance to finally test out your weapon has come. When you find yourself face to face with a kabane. but while your weapon is able to piece the kabane, it's not to instantly kill it. and you get bitten.
But thanks to quick thinking, you're able to stop the virus from fully spreading into your body. Turning you into a half human half Kabane.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress was an anime that was really good in the first half. It had decent characters, amazing visuals and animation. And the fight scenes were also equally amazing. But while I liked the first half, the second half was just not as good. It was still decent, but not comparable to the beginning.
