oof, it seems like this arcade is having some trouble keeping itself running. Anyways, on Dizzy Chicken when you mentioned it being level I remembered you can actually tell how level that machine is. At 3:30 if you pause, there is a triangular piece below the pull handle where the arrow sticker is pointing. This is a level and if the circle inside the triangle is in the center it is a level machine. A good tip for checking before you play. I entirely forgot about that feature.

"Swiper keep swiping" (Dora the explorer) 😂😂😁😆 I think you need to work during the summer to Quality Control the games. They have to know the mechs arent taking cards.

Back when everything was swiped sometimes I would use a bit of plastic wrap and swipe with it on the card. Wiping the card on your sleeve sometimes works too

Terrible that the arcade is that state... Should have at least one techie. My issues when I worked in an arcade was people putting wrong coins in the machines..

Reminds me of the poorly maintained Wizard of oz machine I play. It shocks me that arcades spend thousands of dollars on machines but don't maintain them witch then ends up costing more money when they need spare parts. I've actually seen run down trailer park game rooms with games that work better than at arcades.

The humidity from lake proximity I think really does a number on the machines and card swiper in this arcade. Given how it’s built dunno if it’s possible but they really could use doors

I actually won the 500 tickets on dizzy chicken last Thursday! I was so surprised as I had never done that before and it was my first try on the game as well. It was so awesome!

Jenkinsins is a rlly good place it has good prizes and its very easy to win at the marvel avengers game I was getting like 1k a game at the end we got like 98k and we spent 33k of it so we had like 122 in total

Seems like almost all the arcade games needs some fixing... That's why I don't think it's good having broken arcade games, having lesser games to play when they're out of order... Wish the card readers are the same as Dave and Busted so you don't need to swipe it so many times to get it working...

To be honest there is nothing wrong with the Sacoa spark readers, but they don't use the RFID system but magnetstrips instead.. the reader can be used multiple ways, the owner of the arcade should just get RFID cards.. and I know what I'm talking about, I work as a tech myself in an FEC in holland with the Sacoa system.. I personally install Sacoa system and readers on a weekly basis.. but what u don't see is in the case of the monopoly game which didn't worked swiping .. if the sacoa reader can't reach the WiFi unifi Hotspot for whatever reason.. then the reader will not deduct the money and give 1 play in return. It could have been out of reach in other words.

A philosophical question: Assuming that the management knows the machine is inop, and (for whatever reason) can't fix it immediately, is it better from a customer relations perspective to mark it as out of order, or let people try to swipe but fail? Which is the more negative experience?

@@Spinolio out of order sign doesn't build anticipation of playing. You see it and you move on to the next spot. If you swipe though, you're committed to the game. That's a greater disappointment.
