I have photophobia and bright walls hurt my eyes because they reflect the light. My dad won't let me paint the walls in my room so I did something similar: I covered my walls with promotional posters i got from cons and game releases and now I can't even see my bright walls.

Same here. I played video games on nes and at the arcades, but when sf2 hit it made me a fan forever. These days you're hard pressed to find an arcade. I mean, those kid places have some but the majority of those are tokens for ticket games. I usually find my way to a pinball machine or galaga.

Built a Retro Mame cabinet that plays everything from the old skool arcade games to newer Wii games. I still remember the 25 minute bike ride to get to the Space Station arcade only to blow all my quarters and ride back to bug the folks for more:D Those were the days!

Its sad how arcades are such a thing of the past now. Im grateful that my childhood was literally the absolute perfect time to be into video games, like, I feel bad for people who really are into retro games and related things, but just werent around to enjoy it when it was new. I have so much stuff like this in storage and just never have had the time and energy to place it all neatly. Certainly its not even 10% of this guys collection but, it gives me motivation to do the same. I got a good start during covid but having the extra money for those type of glass cases and similar things that look better has been a challenge

I most likely will never be able to afford this. But I have built an all in 1 arcade station with dual arcade sticks, trackball, and wheel and this video gives me a lot of ideas. All those simple collectors items are really cool decorations. Exactly what I was looking for. Donkey Kong stuff is really cool. Pac-Man as well. Been looking for more 80's stuff since that was my childhood. It's a lot of work but it's been a blast! Definitely the most fun project I have ever worked on.
