Anime backgrounds or OST are a pretty big deal in the anime community, they can really make or break an anime and are always talked about. This one in particular is made by Hiroyuki Sawano, and he is a pretty big name in the anime industry for making incredible soundtracks. Anime openings are also a big deal and get a lot of effort put into them so I'd be great if you could check out the openings for Attack on Titan one day.

Music in anime is not really underrated, but definetly litle known of. Those who know them, they love them, and others just never heard of them. And if not considered real? well... definetly more real as a song then a girl moaning into the microphone without a rythm.

@@shivanisaikumar8217 Only Part 1 was kinda rough due to only getting half the time tht Part 2 got, and the visual style choice was influenced by the fans massive positive reception to the pre-animation announcement trailer (according to an interview; tht same interview the animation director said he and the team, was very unfamiliar with how to go about the animation bc it was last min dropped on their hands, as well as the crunched time.). So it was both the fans and the studio boards fault with how Part 1 turned out. Part 2 is how good Mappa usually is when given the time to actually animate the eps and the team given the time to know wht to do correctly. Like the final ep of Part 2 with tht final few mins was extremely good. So with the studio given the same amount time with Part 3 and even less eps needed to animate, we shuld see a small jump in quality. Compared to how big the jump was between Part 1 and 2.

AOT is incredible. It’s topped Breaking Bad as my favorite show/story, it’s absolutely worth watching. The whole score all throughout the series is some of the best music I’ve ever heard. AOT has it all, amazing world building, great characters, incredible music, thrilling and unraveling plot twists.. it’s one of the best of all time no doubt. I picked up season 1 and 2 on vinyl because I love the score so much.

Couldn't agree more. AOT is far more than an exceptional anime. It's one of the greatest stories ever told, and by far the best piece of TV series I've ever watched. When you go to the biggest TV show poll on the internet (imdb's top 1000 tv episodes of all time) you'll be quick to notice AOT took 7 spots in the top 20 alone, including 2 episodes on the podium, beating Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and many other TV shows you'd expect to be filling those top places head to bottom. And the reason isn't just AOT's incredible writing. The animation and visuals, the amazing openings, breath taking voice acting, and yes, the music as well - everything about Attack on Titan is either perfection, or pretty darn close. It really is the best TV show ever made.

This track is from the season 2 ost. The second half of the song is an updated version of a track from season 1 called “Vogel im Kafig.” It would be cool to see you react to that too since it’s also an amazing track with an entirely different first half. This version is great though since the female vocalist has more lyrics in this version and it has a ton of energy from start to finish.

You're right that it's a different song. Kinda. The composer has this habit of combining two songs and releasing them as one on the soundtracks. They often don't have too much common in terms of orchestration/leitmotifs etc. but thematically they are similar. So here, you actually listened to two songs, the first, instrumental song was YouSeeBIGGIRL - which is what the fandom mistakenly calls the _second_ song, all the time. And so the second song is T:T That's the full name. The composer's a weird guy for sure :)

I think you're right that each half is a separate piece, that's how I've always thought of it. Often Sawano's soundtrack releases have tracks which include two pieces at a time that were used separately in the show. However, for YouSeeBIGGIRL's most famous usage in AOT the show actually does utilize both parts in the same sequence. I would definitely recommend giving the show a watch and looking up as little prior info as possible, there are so many easily spoiled major plot points out there.

"All that lives will die one day. Ob wir zum Sterben bereit sind oder nicht, Wether we are ready to die or not, der Tag kommt sicher. that day will come. Ist das der Engel der vom dämmernden Himmel herunterfolg? Is that the Angel who flew down from the dawning sky? Ist das der Teufel der aus der Felsenspalte herauskroch? Is that the devil who crawled out of the rock crevice? Tränen, Ärger, Mitleid, Grausamkeit. Tears, anger, pity, cruelty. Frieden, Chaos, Glaube, Verrat. Peace, chaos, faith, betrayl. Wir werden gegen unser Schicksal ankämpfen. We will struggle against our fate. Wir dürfen uns nicht in unser Schicksal ergeben. We mustn't give into our fate. Mit Trauer und Entscheidung im Herzen, With sorrow and determination in our heart, zeigen wir den Willen weiterzugehen. We show the will to keep moving forward. Niemand darf eigensinnig seines Lebens beraubt werden. No one shall be robbed of their lives for selfish reasons. Mit Trauer und Entscheidung im Herzen, With sorrow and determination in our heart, zeigen wir den Willen weiterzugehen. We show the will to keep moving forward. Attack on titan is a great anime, but has its flaws if you like storytelling. It has the best OST, it's not even up for debate.

This song really somehow describes Attack on Titan. If you like this ost, then you will like this anime.

"Inspirational", when you watch the anime you will regret those words

Not really. There are really inspiring and uplifting songs, especially in the beginning. Guren no Yumiya, Flügel der Freiheit (the first two openings), DoA, to a degree Reluctant Heroes... Of course we all know where it's going later. ^^

@@Norbert_Sattler I meant with this specific ost, there are many who are, but this one is definitely not inspirational 🤣

I grew up watching Naruto. So of course I think it's absolutely amazing. But if I'd pick the best anime of all time, that's an easy one. Attack on Titan is a genius masterpiece.

While I adore AoT and the work Hiroyuki has done for the show I really do wish people would let people find the music in the scenes they are meant for. I feel hearing something prior to seeing it just takes away form the overall experience. Might be a bad take to some but I feel experiencing the music for the first time as intended has a bigger impact to every aspect.

Try "ashes on the fire" next, it's one of the best soundtracks AOT has to offer. Every single second is worth it, u will be on the edge of seat the entire time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYK4eWNshrd2n5Y
