It's not necessarily a 400 lb person, think about what you store in an attic, so you have a 200lb person carrying a bunch of weight maybe a bin filled with clothes etc that needs to be supported as well.

Point is when you get approved by a regulatory institute like ANSI, 400lbs is the worse case scenario. Did you know bikes have a limit of 275lbs?

Okay hear me out… if you just made that this about 8-10in wider it would be great. Im only 5’8 and 170lb… not a big guy by any means, and this ladder was too small. I’ve done roof repairs on an apartment complex in the dfw area that has these, and Jesus Christ it’s almost impossible to carry anything on your shoulder or by your side and walk up this ladder. Great idea but definitely wayy too small
