The Oriental magpie-robin is known for its melodious song and striking black and white plumage. This bird is commonly found across South and Southeast Asia, often seen flitting about gardens and urban areas. Interestingly, when building their nests, they choose diverse sites, from tree branches to wall crevices, demonstrating their adaptability.
In the heart of the nest, the baby magpie-robin eagerly eats food delivered by its mom. Moments later, the little chick indicates its wish for the mother to keep some refuse. Surprisingly, this baby bird, in a carefree mood, lays on its back and unintentionally rolls over! The chick then starts preparing to leave the nest, showing signs of curiosity and independence. Interestingly, this baby magpie-robin likes to sleep vertically, a unique trait indeed! The chick takes another rest, but ends up toppling once again. It shows a bit of fussiness, disliking the smaller food portions. Later, in a helpful gesture, the chick lets its mom clean their nest. And as time passes, the hunger strikes again; our baby bird clearly signals its mom for more food.
