"What's a little bit of cannibalism between friends?"...You know, I haven't seen Dr. D in awhile.🤔
@nickgrisso14165 ай бұрын
I find it funny that any bird eating any kind of other bird we consider cannibalism, but a fish eat another fish is just normal.

@bluegirl2785 ай бұрын
I’ve never been pregnant but know some wild stories from my mom. Her whole stomach would shift sometimes and basically cave in on one side when my sister would really get swaying. She’d also do loops sometimes. This is pretty believable considering my sister was tangled a bit in he umbilical cord and had to be a c section

Hey there! I'm mentally ill! I have several comorbid mental illnesses, it's great! Anyways, I have fairly bad anxiety and just the unexpected sound of someone dropping a pallet next to me at work can trigger a panic attack. Not everyone with a sensitivity to loud noises needs to look like a vietnam veteran! some people just have fucked up brains

Cannibalism is same species eating same species, genus name and species name has to be the same. Example, Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) eating Chicken (Gallus domesticus) not cannibalism. Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) eating Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) is cannibalism.

Here in the Midwest the tornado warning siren is more of a come outside and check out this sweet tornado alert. Almost every time I'm with someone during a tornado warning here, their first instinct is to go outside to see it. I have no idea why.
@FubukiTheIcyKing5 ай бұрын
Southerner here. To actually see which way it's going or in my town's case to hear if it's actually an alert or just a test. Cause the speakers suck and you can barely hear it. If it's strong winds and black as night I'm in the tub with the mattress holding my dog.

@@FubukiTheIcyKing there's also the fact you've become acclimatized, like Floridians being chill about an alligator just walking down the street; same thing applies to people in cold climates knowing who's from a warm climate when winter hits cuzza the way they dress and drive

It's not cannibalism. It be like if someone found some sort of neanderthal meat, either killing them or carrion, and ate it. Although it would be morally questionable, it wouldn't be cannibalism.

12:47 so people with ptsd can't have clean rooms chavezz? Logic 😭😭😭
@AliceBunny055 ай бұрын
maybe it was a joke 💀 but like.. ppl who have PTSD get tired of jokes made by others that in order to have it you need to be a completely dysfunctional person who's episodes look like borderline psychotic breaks. it would be funny if not for the fact that people ARE constantly told that they can't have PTSD because they clearly aren't a combat veteran or whatever else stereotype people have in mind. you never know what people have been through in their life, and how differently their life may now look compared to how it looked when they were developing their disorder. case and point, I'm a younger girl (19) diagnosed with CPTSD due to COCSA, sudden death of a parent and also growing up in a DV situation. lightning/thunder isn't a trigger for me and I love thunderstorms, but most anyone with PTSD will know that triggers can be really random and sometimes don't make any sense. I was once triggered from drinking a caprisun, which I hadn't tasted in like a decade and probably was drinking during a time where my mother and her boyfriend started getting into it, thats my guess for why it would've triggered my nervous system into activation. I hope he was joking but even if he was, I still wouldn't find it very funny. I'll still have a full blown panic attack, sometimes complete with missing memory from severe dissociation if you put me outside next to a couple who is having a particularly aggressive argument. And yes, my room is clean. It has not always been, it took me years to stop leaving piles of water bottles large enough to fill up industrial trash bags, but I got there nonetheless.
@n.p.cocabean62295 ай бұрын
@@AliceBunny05 yeahh its possible it was a joke, he just said it so genuinely so I couldn't tell honestly 💀 I get how you feel about those types of jokes, though im sure chavezz didn't mean anything by it, sometimes ppl say things like that without realizing the weight of it Also i found your comment really informative, i had no idea triggers could work like that, its quite interesting
@AliceBunny055 ай бұрын
@@n.p.cocabean6229 yeah, I definitely get that most of the time people say things that just stem from not understanding something very well in the first place, it's not like that's particularly uncommon when it comes to mental health related things, many people don't really have a reason they need to know this stuff other than not being insensitive. And yes, PTSD is actually very interesting due to the nature of how it's intertwined with your physical body and health. usually the reason something will trigger you is because your mind associates it or has tied it to a traumatic memory, that is in a way stored in the body as well as the brain. for some things it will be obvious, a couple having a violent argument similar to the situation I grew up in would be an obvious/predictable trigger, so would something like people touching me in a suggestive/innapropriate manner without my consent, particularly for a prolonged time, because of the CSA, yadda yadda. that's because those memories are tied to a traumatic event, predictably sensations like physical stimulus can clearly trigger the nervous system into activation (aka fight/flight/freeze/fawn) when your body remembers and associates that with what traumatized you. however, other sense related things can also cause that kind of activation, it may be on a less severe level but you're still launched into a dysregulated state. just like a reminder of a physical stimulation or auditory stimulation (a certain sound or touch) can trigger that dysregulation, similarly other senses can as well. tastes, often smells are ones that people don't anticipate but do end up experiencing. for someone that may be the strong smell of gunpowder, for another that may be the smell of a particular perfume or cologne that someone who abused them wore, maybe the scent of their clothing detergent or a certain bubbly soap used during bath time. it can be pretty much anything, due to the many different ways and environments people can experience trauma. the body remembers even when the mind forgets.
