This balcony is 4 times the size for the same price

After my cabin tour I'll share how I got this giant balcony for the same price as a regular balcony!
This is my cabin tour of L101 on the Lido deck on the Royal Princess cruise ship (nearly identical to L101 on the Regal Princess as well). This is a standard balcony room at normal category price, but actually has the largest balcony on the ship. Instead of the typical 9'x4' balcony (40 sq ft) this balcony is approximately 12'x12' (144 sq ft) and has room for several people to lounge comfortably. Note that the cabin next door, L102, is nearly identical to this room, just flipped left-to-right. Surrounding cabins L103 and L104 are almost the same, just have slightly smaller balconies. The sister ship Regal Princess has the same room layout on the Lido deck, as well. Refer to the deck plans on Princess' website for diagrams of balcony sizes.

Ooh, this balcony will be amazing for whale watching! We cruised to Alaska and it was fantastic. I hope you get to go through College Fjord. It was the highlight of the trip for us.

Great video. I had this cabin for a 10 night Mexican cruise last December from San Francisco. It was great heading south we sailed into the sun with the wind behind us and was able to really enjoy the balcony. Coming home the sun was behind us and the wind in our face, not so nice. The deck below "Marina" has the same layout for these cabins with the exception of M101 and M102 which are not as wide as there is an access door to crew area at the front. Just a note, the bridge is not above you, that is the Sanctuary, the bridge is 2 decks below.

Which seas did you go over and how rocky was it? Sorry if you said in the video- I’m watching on mute!

I did mention in the video that we sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii over several days. The footage I showed was different days at sea in the Pacific ocean. The worst days were on our return trip home when there was a storm in the area, but most of the time it was smooth. As I mention in the video (I know, you were on mute!) the front of the ship was rockier than the rest of the ship, but it's all relative to how sensitive you are to motion sickness. We quite enjoy the rocking at night, so it didn't bother me at all. Hope that helped!

you can use the balcony at sea? it doesnt automatically lock? also, does it have a pullman?

The door does not automatically lock, so we were able to open it if we wanted. Whether or not it was too windy depended on if we were coastal or out to sea. We only had two people in the cabin so I didn't even check to see if there was a pullman (pull-down ceiling bed) because we had no need for it. At about the :54 second mark in the video, you can see the ceiling and a large rectangle that I supposed MIGHT be a pullman? No idea, you'd have to confirm with the cruise line. If you find out, let us know!
