Great reaction, Ric! I’d seen and loved your other Dirty Loops one for “Run Away”, their newest single, but this track here is something else-. Glad you watched it. I think you nailed it in your commentary, and it makes me appreciate the genius of these guys again! Aron is a badass drummer, and also co-writes a lot of their material, even some of Henrik’s bass lines! In addition he edits all of their videos. Henrik is also one of the best new bassists around. He’s done collaborations with many others, in any style and genre. Jonah and his vocals are legendary. You find him featured more in some other songs, such as “Next to You”, where he’s layed down all of the vocal layers, and it’s insanely divine :) He’s basically sung all his life (both parents are choir masters), and also started playing the piano early on. Later he switched from classical to jazz piano studies. There’s nothing these three dudes can’t do. It’s been great seeing your genuine response to Dirty Loops 🙏 A deep rabbit hole indeed. “Next to You”, “Rock You”, their cover of “Thriller” are just a few along the way… Very much looking forward to more, from one gigantic Dirty Loops fan ☺️✌️👍

I saw your first reaction and loved your reaction. You apparently like quality and the way Dirty Loop got to you was very clear to me. I am not surprised that you chose to react to another of their videos. I am equally impressed by their extreme skills at their instruments and of course, Jonahs voice is out of this world...... There are sooo many videos for you to explore but it would be nice to hear what you say about the song Breakdown. A song without the full attack as in many of the other songs. But..... incredible and for me one of the best they perform... Excuse my english... I am another proud Swede... 🙂

Thanks for your reaction. I saw them the first time in Amsterdam 2013. Until now they have been playing live with an extra keyboard player. (backing vocals and back recordings) They are managed by Quincy Jones. After seeing them live 4 times, they are getting better and better. I'm 60 years old and I play them every week and I can't get enough of them. I love their technical talent and musicality. I also enjoy the reactions people give. It's nice that more and more people are enjoying this band. Compared to popular pop music, this goes a few levels higher in terms of musicality and technique. It's not for everyone, but people with musical genes will recognize this kind of quality. So compliments for your video and your response. If you have time, I also recommend looking at Jacob Collier. It's also a genius. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Again a great reaction. Thank you! This tune was my introduction to DL and I was floored. Didn't know what to expect next, but every tune I've listened to since then (like a million times) has been a new experience. Jonah's voice is beautiful. You hear a lot of it in their "Breakdown". Also in their awesome, awesome song Next To You. Yes, Aron is a beast on those drums. I, like you, have an affinity for drummers. I watch Drumeo a lot 👍😊. I used to live with a drummer, and he taught me to truly appreciate the amount of skill it takes to be a good drummer. I learned to hear the 'voices' of different drummers, and I just love Arons voice. He's very technically precise and still so fluid and with tons of expression in his playing. The best of two worlds. Henrik, of course, is a beast on the base. He carries so much of the DL musical experience - and I could watch him play all day. Thank you again for a great reaction 🙏 I'm happy you found them. Cheers!

The ‘voices’ of different drummers…great expression. I always felt that Aron is ‘talking’ to us when he’s playing, especially in this solo, man! Sooo expressive. And yeah, through listening to Ditty Loops I also have discovered a love of listening to drumming, percussion and all things rhythm -of which Henrik’s bass lines often seem to be a direct extension of (no surprise when Aron is the one often writing them ;) Great comment 👍✌️👌🤘

I've seen this video about 20 times or more and just realized: There are no controls on the bass guitar! No volume, tone select, pick-up select, etc. BTW, you should also check out their first-ever original, "Hit Me." It went #1 in Japan. Also check out some imaginative covers such as "Ta Fete," "Baby," "Undo," "Circus," "Over the Horizon," and others. For fun, listen to a minute or so of the original song first and then check out how DL "loopified" it. You'll be amazed! Another favorite original is "The Way She Walks." No video, but the song will blow you away!

For something different, maybe try _Dirty Loops & Cory Wong_ collaborations, eg. "Follow The Light", or cover of "Thriller". It has Jonah's vocals, and Cory Wong brings a 5-piece horn section. There are three other songs, but they're instrumentals. (Or, choose "Popular" on their videos and ignore songs 5years or older). If you enjoy watching drummers, try Yoyoka, a Japanese girl. She's self taught from 2yo. Her "calling card" was _Good Times Bad Times - LED ZEPPELIN / Cover by Yoyoka , 8yo_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2LTq2R7bdV0hbs She *WILL* put a smile on your face 😀 She's done 100+ solo covers (made at home). Plus many dozens live or in a studio with a band. Her 'solo' covers are multiple cameras, so you can see everything, one continuous take, no edits, Her studio performances are the same, and video edited to synch. Live is live .😀 She finds her own music. Her parents don't push her. Music she's covered, which you might not have heard: _Char "Smoky".../ 7 year old drummer ”Yoyoka"_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4vCqHiNbdl8b7c Char is legendary Japanese 'jazz/fusion/rock' guitarist, singer, songwriter. _Onyx - ... She was the youngest drummer ever added to Drummer World's "Top 500 drummers" at 15yo, until Yoyoka was added at 11yo. _Stray Cats - Rock This Town /Cover by Yoyoka 8yo_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2m7Xn13f5x2eNk Rockabilly revival, played the way the original drummer played. It isn't difficult drumming, but her verve and joy are infectious. _Sass Jordan - High Road Easy / Covered by Yoyoka_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/h16UnoSFpdVggpY Canadian rock singer, who gave Taylor Hawkins (RIP) his big break as her tour drummer. _Superstition - Beck Bogert & Appice / Covered by Yoyoka, 10yo_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXzTqHWop8aBmZY This is Stevie Wonder's song, but you likrly won't have heard this arrangement. Wonder originally gave Jeff Beck first release as part of their agreement for Beck working on his Talking Book album. However, Beck's album was delayed, and the head of Motown records decided "Superstition" was so good, it became the lead single for the album. So this is a familiar song with unfamiliar arrangement. If you enjoy watching drummers to better appreciate technique, you might enjoy: _Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic - Fly As Me / Covered by YOYOKA_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoqXYoGedtadns0 She plays using drum sticks which 'glow' when they hit. So it's easier to see 'ghost notes' and little trills which 'thicken' the beat. Folks (me) don't notice those subtle additions until they aren't there, when the groove is 'shallower'. You might also enjoy some of her _”YOYOKA” Drum Course_ YT videos which she started making at 6yo. She made one to explain how to do play the rapid foot-pedal bass-drum (Aron played in "Work $#!+ Out") _【Remaster】Yoyoka Drum Course #13 “Bass Drum Triplet Without Downbeat.” / ..."_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGaohqCMbq-tY6c She was 8yo. I have no relationship with Yoyoka. I'm just a fan. Best Wishes. ☮

Please consider one of these suggestions to view or react. The duet of Diana Ankudinova and Yulia Parshuta on the song by Toni Braxton - Un-Break My Heart will bring you real pleasure. World-class vocalists in a cool show. According to the conditions of the show "Duets", the participants of the duet do not know with whom they are singing in pairs, they are separated by a mirror partition, and the sound in the ear monitors is greatly distorted. The main essence of the show is the emotions of the artists, when near the end of the performance the partition is lowered and the artists see each other. The best sound is the video from Diana's channel. The reaction to this video must have video image protection. Also excellent Diana duets without copyright restrictions.
