It's kinda glaring how this was easily avoided, if when the card is scanned, and it fails, to have a system automatically notify management and/or lock down the vip area. Especially if management knew there were mind controlling creatures that exist (hence the rule not to look the customer in the eye)

Man, you're hands down my favorite of all the creepypasta/no sleep story telling channels, with Dark Somnium as a high 2nd. While is usually just listen to these, I really appreciate actually getting to see you tell the story. That and all the images and clips you show relating to the story really adds a nice extra touch. The effort you put into these videos is much appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed!

Really enjoyed that one. Thirty years ago our vip room had rules also. Mostly about what to do in case of an overdose or jealous boyfriend/girlfriend situation. It was pretty calm for the most part, but our bouncer was a mountain of a man that moved quicker than a 5yr old on a sugar binge. It was a good job, and I enjoyed the perks. I also followed the rules.

I wouldn't even say it's a rules story at this point. A key to rules stories is there is no story and breaking rules is just a catalyst for spooky things to happen. They're kind of like the teen slasher or haunted house of the creepypasta genre, low effort, made for scares, not a good story. As creepypastas go, this is a pretty good short story I could see in a published collection of spooky stories. Disguising it as a rules story might even be a strategy to lower expectations then surprise the reader with an actual story.

Excellent story! The corkscrew was such a killer (pun intended!) detail. Also, I loved your voice for the tired old vamp - sounds like he's "been there, done that, bought the t-shirt." Which is exactly how I imagine a tired old vamp would sound. Great suspense in this one, too.

@@angrypickle4040hands down agree. My first exposure to creepypastas was Mr. Creeps but then I found Creepy Ghost Stories and Lighthouse. I then found Dark Somnium. I haven't really listened to anybody except Lighthouse and Dark Somnium in several months. I got burnt out on the way Mr. Creeps spoke which is unfortunate bc there's a lot of stories that he does that sound like they would be good. I've been waiting and hoping for a Lighthouse and Dark Somnium collaboration but hasn't happened yet. I know Ronnie does collabs, but I've never heard Stephen do any since he does all the different voice work himself.

Wouldn't it be better to lock the V.I.P. door as soon as a card shows declined? I mean the fact that they've been declined probably means they've already proven their @-hole status. Stephen is truly amazing. Not only does he do all of the amazing voices, accents, and attitudes for the characters in the story, but he's very on point with the sound effects too. He puts the sounds of gunshots, locks latching, engines starting or revving, tires peeling out, and more, all while showing his face as he makes the different characters personas. Nobody else brings a story to life like this narrator does. Definitely the best of the best. Let us all appreciate how much work he puts into these are thank him for it.🖤

Hands down the best no sleep youtuber. Very clear vocals athat even at low volume remain clear. Dark somnium is second becuase while ok during the day. At night on a low volume, the voices are all muddled in the bass and are hard to make out.

Great story and another awesome narration. You are incredibly talented. I started thinking about stories I've listened to on Audible (for long road trips) with your narration skills it would be incredible. Have you thought of using your talent on that platform? I’m so glad Brenda has more freedom in dealing with problem customers in the end. Honestly I thought the moment she was described she was going to intervene before they got to the room. I mean two “ donators?” Following a customer from upstairs? With only one purple lanyard? I’d say that’s a reason to get involved. But I guess she also had rules in the end.
