Thumbelina was an actual true story the actual Barbie told the kids, as the movie ended with Barbie greeting Thumbelina. Two other movies (sorry, forgot the names) have actual Barbie, outside of her acting role, having actual adventures with fairies and magic. The bloopers from the Pegasus movie show a real, domesticated, gryphon on the set. And in this movie Barbie is just telling her sister a story that, according to her words and the amulets being there, really did happen, not the story of a movie she starred in. Magic and fantastic creatures do really exist in the world the actress Barbie lives in, even if they are either rare or purposely hidden from regular humans such as the fairies. The Diamond Castle is one of the few Barbie movies which actually happened instead of being an in-universe movie starred by the actress Barbie.
