U can blame guys like this but we would never even heard or seen em if they weren't given a platform or if the people didn't buy in w views and streams. These types of violent young folk will exist regardless. So who really to blame? Shit, there was a point in time where hip hop was goin "nerdy backpacker" type shit with dudes like Kanye coming up and other artists jumping on just rapping about rapping or having fun. Soon hip hop became the defacto top pop genre. Then all of us started complaining about it being too soft n shit. Even the labels felt a responsibility to promote better lifestyles w more black leadership and positivity. Then the fans kept wanting harder shit like "back in the day" and up came chief keef and drill shit where these dudes were real killers. Way more real killers than any of those "gangsta" rappers of the past. Now we got all this bullshit. Throw the ubiquity of social media, now we can in real time see the feedback.
