I live 20 minutes from Mt. Dora. I went to The Salty Fry yesterday. Had their gnome club. It comes with fries but I opted for the truffle ones and bought a bottle of bourbon ketchup. LOL I told them I had seen Joel's video. They were happy!

watching this now. surely to heck there is a better safer way for them to hold together the big assed sandwich than toothpicks. that is highly dangerous if one is missed and broken and swallowed. at least it seems they could use long skewers for that with the circular ends so as not to be missed. that sure did look good and would make a few days good meals for me.

Joel, permit me to correct a mistake. THIS restaurant is, in Mount Dora. Being from Florida, I've been there a couple of times. Famous for it's antique shops and boating in the lakes surrounding the town. Also has a house that was owned and lived in by the famous Mafia money man, Meyer Lansky. The place you also visited on this Florida trip was the Proper Pie. You reported it being in Mount Dora but it's not. The Proper Pie place is in Haines City, a bit south of Mount Dora. Haines City isn't nearly as interesting nor picturesque as Mount Dora, but they do have some decent bass fishing in that area.
