Later, he claimed that he was under the influence and that demons made him to do that. But according to the US law, that guy was executed. The law did not care that he was diabolical or insane. The law executed him for his actions. So even if someone committed a crime under insanity, he should be punished or his family or loved ones should pay for the damage.
