Very cool showing the rocker pivot. I was wondering how the rear end was handling torsional flex and not putting it all through the rear hub axle with no chainstay bridge and separate rockers. That explains it.

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Hello Jeff. I really like my Steezl. It does have a different feel than my previous carbon bike even though the geo is very similar. I decided to change it up and install a 170mm fork since I prefer riding bike parks and like the more stout fork. I always knew about Reeb and liked what they were doing but it was the Vital first look video that got me looking at the Steezl. Steel frame, UDH, geo and USA made are what sealed the deal.

Thanks for not blocking people bitching about the prices. Most of the stuff is about triple the price of big box brands. I’d like to think if it was even DOUBLE I’d hop on it to support USA. But I’m an American so even if that was the case I’d probably still be whining 🤷‍♂️
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Жыл бұрын
Our bikes definitely cost a little bit more than others, but that statement is a stretch. Similarly equipped yeti SB 160 is close to $8000 versus just under seven for ours and their frame is made in Vietnam and probably cost them $400. Hey Canyon might be $1000 less. And our bikes aren’t made for everybody but if you appreciate quality, do you support an American brand and want a bike that will last more than one season they are definitely worth considering.
@joeymalin

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss That’s true! Especially on the higher end models. I guess I’m so far out of that realm I didn’t compare those. I was specifically looking at the hard tail frames. $700 Kona Honzo ST, $2400 for the Redikyelous
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss Жыл бұрын
@@joeymalin THAT example is 100 true, We've gotten hardtails quoted overseas. We can get them for less than 100 bucks per frame, It's insane and very tempting but we're trying to keep things in house. Ourr manufacturing is getting more streamlined though so I'd expect those prices to drop in the future.

1. Can you share leverage ratio, anti-squat and anti-rise, preferably graphs? I think these should be presented for every bike for every company, so that the customer knows what they buy and can choose if the setup will work for their intended use. 2. Did you consider gearbox instead of derailleur for that improved unsprung and rotating mass ?

Bikes are absurdly expensive these days, no doubt about it, but like Steve mentioned they are in line with the industry. The crazy part is most big brands get their carbon frames for about $500 and still charge what we do. I’ve seen the work that goes into one of our bikes. No doubt it’s expensive but much easier to justify in my book.
@jonk8916
@jonk8916 Жыл бұрын
The prices are in line with the rest of the industry right now, the latest bikes from other brands are 3600-3700, made overseas, and most won't last more than a season or two. In buying a bike from REEB, you get incredible customer support, you support US manufacturing, and the bikes actually last and hold up. No doubt the entire industry is insane when it comes to pricing, but the margins on what the larger brands get for what they charge is ridiculous, REEB is doing this all in the US, in a small shop, and with a few employees, all while keeping the prices in line with the rest of the industry. I've had several of their bikes and they have been nothing short of amazing for me, both as a brand and with their products.
