This Bike Is So So Special | RE Interceptor 650

Beautiful lakeside pass. Riding a 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Black Ray. This is part of Royal Enfield's 648cc modern classics range, alongside the Continental GT 650 cafe racer. I'm running the stock exhaust with it's raw, powerful and classic motorcycle note. Pure motorcycle ASMR, best enjoyed with headphones.

2 years, 18,000 miles on mine. Only issue was a bad speedometer cable initially. Love the stock exhaust. The touring seat is a worthy upgrade, and GIVI makes good brackets and side cases for these bikes which makes them even more useful. For all the people asking about high speed wobble?.....No, never experienced any with US model that came with CEAT tire and replaced when worn completely with Pirelli Sport Demon. I don't know what folks are talking about. Racing engineers (heard of Harris Performance?) designed the chassis, and there is a race series for the Conti GT.........so yeah, they do just fine at high speed.

Ravishing Red. I recently did 2 days of riding with a couple of new acquaintances who ride Harleys. Neither had heard of RE and were stunned when I told them that RE started production a year before HD and has never been out of production since then.

while down shifting, you don't rev match the bike. But, due to slipper clutch, it happens naturally. So, does it damage slipper clutch in long run??

I think for the power and size of the bike, the size of the tyre is fine and I'm a pretty heavy person. If anything it's the suspension that could do with a little upgrading. I'll save that for a later date though 😄

I'm excited. exactly the video I needed to make a decision. I'm torn between the INT650 and the Super Meteor 650, possibly the CL500 or Z650RS. the sound: unique Acceleration on country roads: no one needs more. I need the motorcycle for touring and relaxing, having fun and being on the road for a day or two with a little luggage. No daily driving to work, just enjoying and to calm down oh god, what should I do? Do you have any experience with luggage and suitability for touring? greetings from Germany

It's not so bad, but the whole suspension setup could do with a little upgrading. At higher speeds it's not the most stable, but it's very OK.

Not to say this is completely for you meteor293, but I solved 98% of any stability issues by really fine tuning the alignment via the parallel string method. I can feel the difference if it’s just .3mm off alignment. I bought Hitchcock’s aftermarket adjusters for a cleaner easier adjustment. Also, try a lighter hold and lean in (but not on your bars) so you’re not just hanging on especially if the road has imperfections. Good luck.
