Same Stellar Blade is my GOTY so far, I still have to play through FF7 Rebirth though. I'm glad the unknown indie studios are putting out awesome single player games, maybe it will make the big budget studios open their eyes on what gamers want

I know you want Sony to be punished for Concord failing and the truth is that they are still being punished for it. Sony still had to answer to the investors about the failure of Concord even though Black Myth Wukong was a smash hit. This resulted in the quote where Sony said that they would need many more gates in the future to prevent another Concord like failure from happening again and that they plan on releasing a blockbuster single player game from this next fiscal year and onwards.

Honestly, Concord's failure was already assessed as a possibility as well as other live services, to either underperform or fail. They already alerted their investors to the possibility in prior financial report. I guess we witnessed what could be happen if it fails. Because these studios are seemingly obtained just for that one game. Honestly I don't think they were going to get "punished" by Concord even if Wukong released further away. Just the studio to be honest. PS6 at highest would be $600. Because they want mass market adoption with acceptable loss. The Pro’s price wouldn't dictate it

As xbox promised it could do what the series X could do but it surely was a problem with baldur's gate 3. So probably next gen they should just stick with the X line up and do a slim and a a pro mid gen refresh like sony was doing. and now that their pushing more games on pc and cloud gaming that would totally make sense since if the people wanted a cheaper gaming console they should just go with their phones, pc's or amazon tv boxes just paying for gamepass.

Studios just know that PlayStation is the best place to put their games because it's actually going to sell there and they'll be able to update it in future patches much easier.

I'm really hoping that the ps5 pro would flop so they can lessen the price down by stripping features like they did with the ps3. but how can you call it a "pro" when you are removing features? like to begin with they already remove the disc drive at that cost. they could put the ssd back to 1tb and lessen the price by $80-$100? people can just upgrade the drive after half of it's lifespan., they coud remove the plates and have it be black you would hide inside a cabinet and lessen the cost by another $30-$40. . those extra plastics cost extra.

@Bartacolips I know what "the pro" does. It's a mid gen refresh so of course it should perform better. But since when did we took off features and still call it a "pro"? Apple remove the headphone jack way back before calling 1 of their phones a pro. And the extra terrabyte should be a standard since games are getting way heavier every generation. Understandable that they didn't upgrade capacity from the ps4 pro to ps5 since they moved from a slower hdd to a faster nvme but should be normalize now to get more storage for a console upgrade. It was a bad omen when they release the ps5 digital only and people still bought it. Because that was the first step to push digital only future consoles.. it would have been forgivable if they launched a digital only handheld with native gaming instead of a streaming portal. That way it is smoother for us to transition the library to a digital only console. But instead offer for us to spend more money to a removable disc drive. It is also way more forgivable if they gave us the disc drive with the ps5 pro at that $700 price tag.

There are other aspects of the Chinese market that are driving PS5 sales higher like the Chinese government restricting network gaming time like they restrict tv. (all TV broadcasts are shut-off at like 10pm I think.) PS5s and one’s own physical library of single player games got way more valuable in China.

They're at least 30+ free TV broadcast channels in China, all 24 hrs. There're also many streaming services, and all newer TV's support casting. The entertainment options in China are almost endless.
