Because almost no old guns are in the meta so using them putts you at a disatvantage anyways, having that many guns also means that finding a specific attachment for a gun is almost impossible since they thought it would be a great idea to share attachments, and the cod hq is atrocious all the way from it's ugly design and layout that makes it unnecessarly hard to select a game or mode for PC players to the shared ui (which also sucks) which makes every game feel like an addon to MW2019 which in my oppinion while the best of the recent cods wasn't that great of a game either

I feel like they should carry forward the skins. That’s the bare minimum. If they remove all the skins we’ve had, then most people won’t buy bundles anymore. They’re losing money. If Activision is all about money then they should keep all bundles we have purchased. Plus, if they want COD HQ to connect everything then the skins should transfer over too.

Honestly wouldn’t be opposed to a carry forward into Black Ops 6. If you think about it, every call of duty we’ve had since BO2 has released pretty much the same weapons just with different names or altered looks for the time frame with a few changes. By BO4, every weapon has been recycled and reskinned in different forms. And BTW, if it’s true that the War on Terror is involved, then a lot of modern weapons will fit in with the theme. A way to fix the bloating is add more custom classes (a total of 25). WW2 had up to 20 slots allowed and was the cod with the most content until MW2023.

The whole carry forward thing is a mess. I mean just from a weapons standpoint, remember how they had a MW AK and a Cold War AK, etc in Warzone. There’s so many weapons in the game right now (including quite a few that were relevant in the 90s) that I don’t know how they can carry forward the present weapons while also including new weapons. Doesn’t sound very feasible imo.

If it’s all the same HQ and UI, then we “shouldn’t” lose anything. Everything should carry over for this 3rd installation just like they did with MW WZ, CW WZ, and VG WZ. Theoretically, this would be MWII WZ, MWIII WZ, and BO6 WZ. UNLESS!!!! The Verdansk that’s coming to BR is going to give us all the original stuff that we had prior to MWII. Let us use all the things that we initially bought for the first 3 games. That’d be cool. It’d be nice to have EVERYTHING open and available, however. We shouldn’t have to lose anything. If we do, they’ll just LOSE PLAYERS. Digging its own grave again.

A good idea could to have 3 games intergraded with warzone at all all times so once we hit cod 2025 the mw2 guns are removed then when we hit 2026 the mw3 guns are removed that way each game has a 3 year guarantee life in warzone.

The reason things did not carry forward from MW19 and Warzone 1 to MW2 was due to the fact the engine was upgraded to allow water physics. Went from 8 to 9 I believe

A fantastic way to combat the carry forward issue in my personal opion would be… *Only carry forward operators for whom you have purchased skins for 👍 * when cod 2024 releases get rid of all 2019 cod weapons and just always keep the previous year and the new year weapons. So when cod 2025 release get rid of cod 2023 weapon and keep 2024/2025 if that makes sense. Curtainly helps to debload the game year on year

I just want to load in and play. There are so many weapons and camos in the game that it's almost overwhelming. It makes hard camos you have to grind for irrelevant because a weekly challenge ends up having a better camo than some of the mastery camos.

I think a solid middle ground would be carry some operator skins and all weapon camos over. Since a lot of stuff is pointing to a crossover in the story of mw and black ops. Some operators would fit in. Like tf141 and co. I believe cold war had a captain price in it. But i dont see why we cant do the camo crossovers. Id love it if they did this.

surprisingly a lot of weapons you might not realize are from 80s 90s like the m16 is actually from Vietnam so late 50s early 60s m4 is 80s i think desert eagle is 90s i believe so a lot of iconic weapons from ealier cods even cold war will be there like the uzi, mac 10, awp, and many many other weapons so i doubt we will be even close to disappointed when it comes to the weapons we get in bo6

Not really any benefit of resetting and bad for business. I would much rather have a bloated inventory than start fresh with the same weapons but without all the skins we paid for. Most players, including myself, would most likely not buy bundles continuing forward if they are going to be limited to WZ. I feel like lore is mostly just for campaign and Zombies.

I don't mind there being no carry forward for new multiplayer games especially if time frames don't line up. Warzone is a little trickier. Honestly it really should be a stand-alone game but we know how Activision is about there money so will never happen. On the other hand people have spent valuable money (me included) and it shouldn't become a waste, but most people don't want "Bloat" as you said and especially cause half the MW2 guns are already not viable. No matter what it's pretty much a lose lose situation for the devs. I think the best way for them to minimize the damage is to have carry over into warzone for any unlocked universal weapon cammo and unlocked operator skins. Then no carry over for weapons and any other equipment. Would mean if you didn't unlock something sucks to be you and we would just have to cut are losses on things like blueprints, vehichle skins etc. Then they could do the same for the new multiplayer games or no carry over at all. Like you said theres always going to be someone unhappy, it's impossible for them to make everyone happy. I think this would be the closest thing to best possible solution.

Call of Duty needs to go to the COD Online logic, that way it allows for numerous changes. Throw as many guns in as you want along with maps and modes. Rotate things per season and buff and nerf things as required or for fun. Different events would come out per year for holidays or whatever creatively they want to do. COD as a live service game at this point makes the most sense instead of people feeling cheated that they spent this amount of money only to see it go to waste and start all over again. Oh, and bring back the Headquarters from WWII. That way we can all emote together 👍

#1 fix for all this, each game needs to be longer, maybe even 2 full years but you add 2-3 different Warzone maps throughout that time span. This would feel like you got your moneys worth and no need to carry weapons from one game to another. #2 Re-skin the MW3 guns and add them into Black Ops so they are consistent with that era. #3) if they don’t lengthen games, though it sucks, just drop the previous content and restart…reason being everyone uses the new weapons anyways which are always better. Count how many gamers are using MW2 weapons right now, you’ll be lucky to see any on a given night. Just my thoughts. Great vid buddy 👍

Carry forward should only apply to cosmetics. Whether purchased or unlocked, any bundles, skins, camos, etc should carry over. But all “carry over” weapons should be reset to level 1 in the next game…..I like being able to use the previous COD’s weapons, but they shouldn’t have max level or whatever level you had on them while playing the last game. Each game needs its own progression , even for previous games’ guns…..

I think for Warzone, having 3 years of weapons is good in my opinion. We already had that before and thought it worked fine. I think for next year they would have to drop MW2 stuff and do the same each year so there is no more than 3 years of content there at all times.

Big issue my friends and I had with MW3 this year was all the crap guns that carried over. Scrolling thru 50 guns just to find the new guns is so lame. Same with attachments. A new game feels so cheap when it’s stuffed full of stuff from the last game. New game should bring NEW content. Maybe camos can carry over I guess? I hope the next "restart" for warzone is worth it. No more previous gen support, fully destructible environments, mindblowing gunsmith detail from multiple camos, reticles, full attachment slots, engravings etc. In my opinion COD really needs to give us a whole ass "open world" FPS/RPG style single player/co-op campaign. Something that's replayable with multiple outcomes like RDR2, Fallout 4 etc

I will always say it… with the carry forward or not… COD should just every 2 weeks, update the meta. By that, only allow so many guns from every class per 2 weeks. What they should do is slowly get rid of the content that was from two games ago example: remove mw2 weapons when cod 2025 launches in next year so there is three years of weapons available at all times. BUT keep operator skins in always. (God forgive me for making this comparison) but keep the operator skins like the fortnite system. Skins stay while guns rotate in and out of use one season we get weapons a,b and c available for use but for next season we get weapons x,y, and z AND b in use. Why? I’d prefer if they did a full reset in bo6 multiplayer so you start fresh with new guns new skins rather than have the same stuff from the past 2 games. Most of these mw skins just piss me off now lol

This is why I’m not going to spend much more on these games. I’ll buy BO6 for zombies, but I’m sick of Warzone meaning you lose the use of guns or skins that you’ve bought over time. I went back to Cold War zombies the other day and used my Scream operator and they put so much more effort in then. I can’t even use that operator on the current Warzone. It’s a mess and been so badly done. It SHOULD have been its own title from the very beginning. Like Fortnite. And you keep everything you’ve paid for. It feels like daylight robbery them taking away the use of stuff you’ve paid for. But then this is Activision and they care about the money, not the players. I’ve pretty much had enough of COD now.

Can you image the uproar if Fortnite players got told they could not carry forward their skins. lol Like Activision almost need to split the two as the link with MP is actually more hassle than it’s worth. Let’s get IW back on Warzone and Treyarch and Co. back on MP. Happy days.

I feel like the cod hq is a good idea but the way they executed it is not the best, however I miss having to download the new game separately kinda builds the hype up. Ik it’s strange but can’t really explain
