yoongi wrote snooze as a comfort songs for younger artists who are trying to make it in the music industry, however when I read the lyrics, I couldn't help but think about my mom I think the message works perfectly from a parent x children perspective a lot of our parents went through so much hardships on their life to make our life easier for us, and they keep believing, supporting and rooting for us, even when no one else is there anymore :') this song definitely made me emotional and reminded me of how much I love my mom

I agree about SDL, it's more lowkey than the ones yoongi goes off but it's SO nice, adora's vocals and that electric guitar on the latter verses really elevate it my favorites are haegeum, SDL and snooze

D-DAY is such an incredible album. I had really high expectations for the album and Yoongi still managed to exceed them. I'm so proud of him. Each song is amazing and THE LYRICS. This is the self-made artist that I'm a fan of. 🙌🏻 I still can't get over the lyrics of his songs, they are SO deep, some raw and other really beautiful and even poetic I would say. It's hard to choose a favorite one. I personally think each one has a heavy emotional weight and message so.. for the moment my favorite ones are: Snooze, Polar Bear, Haegeum, Amygdala and Life goes on.. yep, I just mentioned half of the tracklist lmao. This is seriously my favorite Agust D project. It's perfect!! 🛐🔥 I cried so much with the last songs. All started with that interlude bc it was so beautiful and put me in my feels but I honestly shed some tears with amygdala too and even in the first listen without knowing the lyrics. That's one thing that I really love the most about the BTS' members, you can feel their emotions and sincerity through their voice. 😭

The girl in the background of some songs is ADORA. She used to produce and do background vocals for quite a few BTS and solo songs (one of BigHit Music’s in house producers). She debuted as a solo artist in 2021 (I think) and is worth checking out. ARMYs love hearing ADORA’s background vocals on BTS songs since they’re always so good. 😄

'Polar Night' really struck a chord with me, this whole album is outstanding but when that song came up and I realized what the lyrics were I was captivated. It felt like he took all my frustrated and confused thoughts and laid them out clearly on paper, then found the perfect way to communicate those thoughts through music. I find myself wanting to just print the lyrics and go around shoving them in people's faces yelling "This! THIS RIGHT HERE!" lol. I've never been very into rap but BTS gave me a new appreciation for it and opened my eyes to many other great songs and artists I never gave a chance to before. Also, now I have to go listen to "The Rose" because Woosung's vocals melted my heart on 'Snooze'.

So, to answer your question about the Amygdala lyrics: we've known about his mom's heart surgery, he mentioned it in his verse in BTS's "Moving On," but as far as I know, we didn't know about his father's liver cancer.
