Quirky review as ever 👍🏻. I have the black dial and completely agree about the strap . I had delivered yesterday a nato with slightly shinier keepers , almost brass coloured , that works for me . I'm going to cut up the leather strap now though

Enjoyable review 👍 . I think you chose the nicest dial/case combination. Those thick leather NATOs (not that we're allowed to call them that now 🙄) are a joke, so thick! I wish Bertucci would make a metal watch for less than £100, I would prefer that with the integral lug design.

I not quite into Bronze watches but Boderry’s Voyager is probably one of the best value Field Watches out there. But yeah, that lug hole placement… Entertaining and informative as usual.

Nice watch. Two things I would change: Arabics painted with orange lume stuff (orange as a daylight color), and swap out the movement for a Seiko VH31 quartz (and eliminate the date).

Yup, very Bertucci case shape but the more I look at it, the more it gives me some Vostok classic Komandirskie vibes with the case color, dial and kinda similar hands..

Great review! The watch itself looks a bit too big and bulky for me (I guess I'm spoiled by vintage watches that overall are smaller and more elegant), but I must say I really like the date at 4 o'clock! I don't think I've seen a watch with that design before.

Well, I picked one of these up quite some time ago, when the first reviews and low price came out. It just arrived on December 9th after many inquiries on my part (and apologetic responses from Boderry). It's a heck of a watch for the money but the very first thing to do is exactly what The Man, The Myth, The Master of disaster himself did: cut the strap into a single pass. My wrist is over 8 in in diameter and the darn thing was still too big with that thick double pass. Trimmed, it looks and feels quite wearable. I'm going to have it on for the weekend.

I recently bought the bronze "Seaturtle" and within a week the crown pulled completely out of the watch. They sent me another one and the crown doesn't work properly on it either. They hint that I con't know what I'm doing - yeah, I do. I now have 2 pieces of junk in my drawer and I'm out CAD $240.

My bronze and green arrived today. Took around 2 weeks which i didnt think was too bad. Its an extremely handsome looking thing but i agree about the strap being too thick. Any tips as i don't want to just cut it and get it wrong.

The artificially produced patina is not good for the metal. Acid produces copper acetate which forms verdigris (bronze disease=toxic) and not the green patina. The picture on the right at 4:08 min. shows a broken watch. The picture on the left is a natural patina. This natural patina can be polished and the color stands out better. The toxic verdigris destroys the metal and leaves scars. The metal loses the ability to build up a healthy layer of patina that is resistant to corrosion. This way of forcing a patina is very bad. To clean and polish the watch without destroying the protective patina, use water mixed with baking soda, then gently polish it with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste and the bronze will shine again. In this way you can also maintain the desired patina. After cleaning and polishing, the watch can be sealed with vegetable oil (preferably not olive oil)

Lug design is gormless, 22mm won't allow most straps. Worse than that is taking a 40mm watch to 48mm across the lugs it won't fit a smaller wrist. Dial and hands are brilliant, half the time reading a watch numbers are not really necessary and just add to the design. Boderry need to take a better look at lugs or a belt sander there choice

I had ordered the green one about 2 months ago. Nothing happened for 2 weeks. Then It showed that they had "contacted the shipping company to pick up a shipment" another 2 weeks of no status updates with the bogus shipment. After 3 emails without a response, I called my credit card company and cancelled the order. Not once did someone from Boderry reach out to explain anything to me. Love the look of the watch but they have ZERO customer service.

Buyer beware: I ordered 1 of these from Boderry on the 29th of September. I received shipping information on the 13th of October. The shipping information ever since has just said shipping label created, and I have not received the watch as of the 2nd of December. I have contacted Boderry a few times, and they keep saying things like the shipping information will update next week. The shipping will update within 2 days. When shipped the watch over the weekend, and shipping will update. I am pretty sure I will never receive this watch, and their customer service is not helpful at all.

I also agree, everyone must me very informed before. This is a peace of crap company Boderry. I also bought a watch from boderry directly that arrived not working. Nothing, not moving, so the quality control is ZERO. On top of that, they only substitute if you pay yourself and arrange it to return the watch all the way to china, which ends up costing more than the watch. Boderry does not adhere to their own warranty conditions. In the event of a defect you are not entitled to anything. Don't buy this watch! The watch and the brand are absolute garbage.
