Hi from Australia. Love the build. Only have one thing to make comment on and that is the gas struts should be fitted up the other way to what you have them ( internal shaft to the bottom when the bonnet is raised). Keep up the good work, looking forward to see this through to completion.

You need a cheap bead roller for all these flat plate ‘stiffners’, they have very little strength flat, add a bead and they will be much stiffer 👍

Totally agree with Nat regarding preparation for the Raptor coating. As with everything, preparation is everything. There are far too many people who skimp on the preparation and expect miracles from the end product. Powder Coating is a prime case. Some folks need to realise that preparation takes up most of the time for a good reason. Great work chaps.

Hello again from Southern Oregon - I'm really enjoying your fabrication process on the 300 SL Gullwing. Several friends/ co workers have had Gullwings over the years. One belonged to a friend's Granny - it was her daily driver. Others were being faithfully restored - and they were beautiful! I like the concept of fitting the Gullwing to the SLK. Many thanks!

The first thing that came into my head was turquoise metal flake with a white tuck’n’roll interior, chrome reverse wheels and whitewalls to give it a sixties hot rod look. The Mooneyes treatment would suit the car well too.

Hello from Denmark . I’ve been following from the start of the Gullwing project. Love the build so far 👍🏽 when you said you know where you wanna take this build i was afraid you would say the “standard” way as all the other folks do. But Then i Saw your transporter and the Audi build. And i was like WOW !! So i know for sure this is gonna be a heck of a build, and im patiently waiting 😊 Im currently building a Porsche 356 Speedster replica my self, and thats not an ordinary build either 😂 Im looking forward to see more 💪🏽💪🏽
