I love History because of the the Holy Bible. Being raised SDA does not guarantee that you will be conflict-free... anything but, in fact. What i recall was my first taste of these little and large red books piled on my father's desktop. Later on i found out- these were called ,the Spirit of Prophecy books. The large ones i am sure were the Conflict Of Ages. My mother would read and show us the beautiful illustrations. This was morning ,but mostly evening worship. The Great Controversy played out in my home. Satan viciously attacked daily,and i will not give the details how. When Satan has you in his grip he doesn't worry about you. It is when, parents pray and read the HOLY BIBLE and the Spirit Of Prophecy, which lead you to further understanding of the Bible, that the Adversary attacks. Sister White, must've and had to be attacked by Satan because she was a truly a Godly woman, who above all loved Christ Jesus , and was given the awesome task to unmask Christ 's Adversary. What this war against SIN is ALL about. The Great Controversy leads people to take a stand under the "Sun of Righteousness, who arises with healing in His wings." After the Holy Scriptures, THIS is the Book the Beast knows to fear most. Thank you dearest Jesus for your messenger Sister Ellen White, Your 'lesser light." The fact that she and her inspired body of work is SO MUCH derided only serves to prove to me that her writings are TRUE.
